We have other reasons right here in Canada for enlarging our branch and bringing in even more to have them work with the staff now there. Ten percent of those who are members of the Bethel family are now at retirement age or older. Now what are we going to do with these? Give them a gold watch and put them out in the cold? That's what some organizations do. But Christians can't do that. They have served faithfully for 20, 30, 40 years at their assignments. And though we know many of you would be glad to have some of these older brothers and sisters in your home, we're not going to give them up. We'd like to keep them in our home.
Wouldn't that be what you would expect?

The first episode "Les Sales du Royaume" won Gemeaux prize (French Canada Emmy) in its category tonight.
( "Les sales du Royaume" is a great play on words. Les Salles (two "L's") du Royaume is Kingdom Halls in French. Sales (one "L") is french for dirty. )

At the same time, very few of the friends understand all of the various blood products that are permitted. They will frequently say no until an HLC member comes along and says, "its ok - the WT says so". Then of course they routinely accept it. There is no respect for individual conscience in these matters.
Are most hospitals aware that the average JW has no clue, and really no choice?
Why do hospitals allow the elders to be inside the rooms of the patients when they can see the undue influence?

custody orders, proving to the court why my daughters should be baptized at 18. JW OR NOT
by Gokumonkey inhello everyone ive been posting about this situation about my daughters and their jw mom so if u want to get a back story about whats going on you can check out my previous posts.. note- daughters are only 5 months old, and i live in the united states.. right now im typing up my court orders to present to the court but ive come to a road block.
i want to add reasons to why its not a good idea to have my daughters be baptized at a young age.. here is my rough draft -.
"age appropriate baptism – i wish that my daughters to be baptized at the legal age of 18 years old.

These sorts of things are typically never enforced by a judge and most will loathe even putting it in there. The JW parent has freedom of religion as do your kids, baptism is not a legal contract and thus cannot be legally enforced so there is no legal restriction possible.

Even in Europe where it is common for people to travel quite frequently to other countries within the union if the offense took place in one country where it might be legal for that to have occurred but was reported in another country where the age of consent is higher. How do you deal with a situation like that?
Dude, you are seriously missing the point.
Why in the world are WT and elders involving themselves in sex crimes?
In Canada, EVERY citizen is a mandatory reporter.
As the ARC showed, among other things, WT investigating interferes with the proper authority's investigation AND causes further trauma to the victim.
Why the freak are these rent-a-cops playing God?
