she won't be coming over for the annual meal(s) on thanksgiving, christmas, easter, and whatever else she can think of that are holidays.
Another good question to ask- Do the JWs believe that Jehovah has preserved the Bible all these years? If so, then why didn't He make sure that His name remained in the New Testament? Why did the JWs have to insert it back in? The claim to have restored it, when in fact, it was never in the New Testament to begin with. You're doing a good job. Stay calm, and continue to ask questions and make her think. And by the way- welcome to the forum!

well the title of my subject seems a bit pathetic, but i truly am in need of friendship.
my whole life and marriage have been turned upside down with my husband "studying" with a jehovah's witness.
he hasnt done a lot of meeting with this man, but he does believe all their doctrine.
Welcome to the board. You're already getting a lot of good advice. It is important to stay calm, because the JWs like to tell their new "studys" that Satan will use their loved ones to make them stop studying. The 2 books you've mentioned are my two personal favorites, they should be very helpful. I hope your husband will agree to look at them. I hope you will be able to reach your husband, please keep us updated.

..... which has been treated in a thread here earlier, and found not to be impressing, to say the least. Mixing of what is stated in the paragraphs to be facts and what is opinions, so that a picture is created which is as wrong as one claims the WT has done ......
I'm curious, can you give a specific example? For the most part, the WT appears to have quoted some of these people in support of their view, when in fact the authors have the opposite view.
