i want to practice a thechnique that was shared with me today about opening the eyes/minds/hearts of jws.
i need someone to argue the way a jw would about the following question and i will reply and so on until the end.
can i experience "eternal life"?
In the meantime, you have the wonderful task of learning patience while you persevere.
That is FOR SURE! If you are not a patient person, dealing with JWs will either make you or break you. I'm convinced that is why God has put so many in my path, and has let me bang my head against the wall trying to reason with them. I'm NOT a very patient person, but I'm learining...

my daughter is at her dad's house 50% of the time and he along with his family have been indoctrinating her since birth.
up until recently she has always said she is a jehovah's witness.
i have been reasoning with her in the past 6 months to a year (i used to take the path of least agression but final decided i need to combat some of their teachings if she is to think for herself).

i just got a pm from mouthy/grace/granny and she is not feeling up to par these days..... her arthritis and diabetes is acting up..... can you please send her a special prayer or thought her way..... we all know she well worth it..... .

here is my situation: i am in the sacramento area of california.
i have a good friend of mine that is a jw.
she has recently not been attending meeting and not reading her watchtower.

I totally know where you are coming from, but you need to listen to the advice you're getting. Take it SLOW. I did the same thing trying to "save" my mother from the JWs, and in the beginning I did a LOT more harm than good. I've just recently got her to trust me enough to even have a conversation about God and things we've both read in the Bible. I think she sees that I'm not evil, and neither are my Christian friends. That is where you can make the most difference, by proving not to be the evil person that the Watchtower makes all non-JWs out to be.
I've been on here reading almost every day for over a year and a half. This site has by far been the most valuable to me in understanding the JW mindset and how I might help them. I haven't really seen any results with any of the JWs in my family, but I actually did have 8 months worth of very good discussions with one who came to my door. Now is not the time to steamroll your friend with a bunch of information. You may not be the last link in the chain that helps her leave, but don't be the missing link. The best thing you can do is be a good friend and listen. And keep learning as much as you can. Even if you don't get to help your friend, God might bring someone else along when you are ready to help. Just my opinion, hope it helps.

hey there.
i'm new to this board, so i thought i'd introduce myself with a story.
it details the kind of thursday night we all dreaded as a young jw.
And with that, a giant collective sigh could be heard falling through the noses of the brothers and sisters, like a procrastinating turd that managed to waste two hours inside a dark hole before rolling out into the bowl with a satisfying splash.

Can you just imagine if about 20 of us went and sat in the first couple of rows, not letting anyone know what was up. And every one stood up and clapped? Man, that would be a site to see. We cant forget the party hats and whistles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I have one more question. I haven't been close to this cousin for quite a few years, pretty much ever since they all became JWs. I want to show her some support, but it is kind of odd since we really haven't been close. I also don't want her to think I'm on a fishing expedition (trying to get info for her mother or mine). To those of you who are df'd, would you have welcomed support of some of your non-JW relatives, even ones you haven't heard from in awhile? I just don't want her to think she has no one, or feel she has to cave in and grovel at the feet of the elders to be reinstated. I don't agree with some of the choices she's made, but that doesn't mean I think she is "dead" or a "lost cause". What do you all think?
