The article said a "series" of conventions in the Long Beach Arena. So, how many DCs are they having there? 16 years ago, they had the DC at Dodger Stadium. I checked the seating. Dodger Stadium holds 56,000. Long Beach Arena holds 13,500,

how do other jw's know if a person left on their own or was forced out?
i forsee some future lawsuits because people are going to gossip and say alot of bad things about the person who might have just left on his or her own.

If one were using their brain (yeah right), they are no longer one of JW... they no longer call themselves a "brother"... so the congregation should still be allowed to associate with them.

but when you read it you definitely have to have a clear understanding of the 70 years prophecy as interpreted by the society - otherwise the explanations sound just as garbled as the society's (except reconsidered has a lot more actual references).. can someone explain it in simple terms?

Do I remember correctly that you were (or are) in a position of responsibility in the congregation? I'm asking this because I never understood it when I was a JW either. I was a pioneer. I was supposed to be able to recite it back and forth and in my sleep. But no, my eyes just glazed over everytime I heard anything about it. I'm finding out that a lot of people did the same thing... "the GB says it's so, so there's no need to really understand it."

One Korean convention at the St. Louis assembly hall. I think they have 2 at the Family Arena in St. Charles, MO, though, usually in July. Don't know the exact dates, though.
How weird. They used to have a big English convention in St. Louis at Busch Statium. Are there not enough people now? (One can only hope)
