I don't know about blind dates, but it's kinda like when I met someone from this board, you don't know what to expect, therefore it's best to go into it with no expectations. You have to go into it with the "tabula rasa" mentality, a total blank slate with no ideas of how it "should" be, just get to know them as an individual, not a potential mate, friend, or anything else. By the way, I ended up really liking the person I met, as an individual, and I think that's the most important part of meeting someone new. Just get to know them, really, and it should all fall into place. If they're right as friend, Great! If they're right as a lover, Great!! If they turn out to be just someone you had dinner with, Great!!!!! You just can't take it seriously or put any sort of importance on it. Just my $0.02.

Spiritual Paradise

" and i thought, things are more paradisaic for me now than they ever have been.
and for an instant, i thought back to how i imagined paradise would be, meeting people from all over the world, creating real friendships based on respect and honesty, and i realized, that's exactly what we have here in the real world!.

Well put, SNG!! I feel that the people in my life are what make it worth living, and having to spend eternity with unloving people would be far from paradise!!! There is a spirituality to personal relationships, IMO, like a little spark of the divine when you truly connect with someone.
