The stark contrast between Science and Christianity says it all.
by Island Man injesus prayed that all his followers be united as one.
but we see christianity divided into thousands of denominations.
this division is partly due to the fact that the book that christianity claims is the truth, the inspired word of a supremely wise god, was not written in a sufficiently unambiguous manner as to make its one true meaning indisputably clear throughout.. by contrast take a field of science - say physics.

Ah I forgot about Titanic... It was an older brother (Born in 1920) that gave that part and said he had no idea why anyone wanted to watch a movie where you know the ending lol.... Of course this same brother condemned brothers for wearing blue jeans at home saying they should "look good for Jehovah and wear a suit ALL THE TIME!"

I forgot to mention in the second movie after Zod takes over America and storms the white house he makes the president bow to him. The president says something like "dear god.." General Zod quickly corrects him and says: "ZOD!" lol

Yeah the CO a few years ago said an avatar is a manifestation of a Hindu deity... while this is partially correct he fails to mention how many Hindus today believe this...
He said the movie-makers said that an avatar was a Hindu diety.... A flat out LIE!
He then showed every one a picture in the Search Book of a Blue avatar lookalike and said "SEE!". It was of course a picture of Shiva... not an avatar.
He mentioned in the movie is a place called Hallujah Mountain and said that was blasphemous..... Okay I guess the city of Corpus Christie is a blasphemous place... all the California cities with San before them are too

But anyway when i was growing up my parents recorded the 4 supermen movies on to video tape as they were played on TV.
Nowadays I have them all on one DVD however I noted a few points:
In the first movie Lois calls superman metaporically 'a god' in their cloud scene.
In the second movie superman fights 3 demigods etc.
The third movie was loony and off the rocker so it need not be mentioned here.
The fourth movie had totally personified Satan as Solar man.
Through all this we must remember Supermans name is Kal-El.
El is a hebrew word that in post exilic times was used for God. (In Pre-Exilic times it was a deity seperate from yahweh.) Thus all through the bible would find names that start or end with El.
I was born 1978 thus by the time I started watching Superman on TV they were already reruns.
Did the WT ever demonize Superman like they did with Avatar?

I remember the conventions of the early 80s. Big stadiums, cafteria lineups and long lunch breaks. Four day conventions. Most of my early assemblies were in Victoria BC but my parents would fly down to San Diego some years for the convention there... After the conventio was Sea World and a trip up to LA for Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm.
Conventions used to be fun.... but we grew up

What would this world be like today , if their was never , ever , any concept of a GOD or a Creator .?
by smiddy ingiven the fact that religion has been such a divisive force throughout history amongst all nations and tribes of the earth , i wonder how things might have been different had their been no god / creator / religion in the mix.. of course religion alone has not been the cause of all mankinds troubles & conflicts with each other , nationalism , polotics , racism , to name a few are also guilty of these problems.. but it seems to me that religion , beleif in a creator / god and its consequences of such a beleif are the cheif causes of mankinds troubles.. remember this is your thoughts if a creator , god , religion didnt exist in human conscience .. what are your thoughts ?.

There are many religions with out god or gods.
To be honest alot of them had greater sceintific progress.
Other nations with god/gods that distanced themselves from them accepting a more pantheistic society brewed great avancement.\\
Plato etc distanced himself from the gods.
I would highly recomend the movie Agora for those that want to see conflict between science and religion.
