Collapse of JW Org - Possibly on the Horizon?

this topics get a great deal of discussion here.

what i find interesting is even some of my pimi family is embracing the reality that all is not well with jw.org and that many current jws are just going through the motions due to not having a good way out of the org.

wondering what could realistically lead to the collapse of jw.org in the not distant future?

I think the so-called collapse is actually planned by the governing body. They already introduced the 'rapture of the anointed' on 2013 so if they 'vanish' one day with all the funds the believers will hang on for a time. After most will disperse.The Governing body will be sipping tequila in the caymans

a comment on another thread cracked me up where the poster related what some elder said on the platform that: .

i’ve heard so much speculation from many jw’s on what will and won’t be allowed in the new system.

As for the new system. I expressed my hatred of this doctrne a month ago and my personal reasons for my anger. (It kills people)

The new system at first glance is nice... tropical... the whole world to explore...animals living in peace.... and...WAIT

Who on here has beeen attacked by a wild animal? I mean it is a rarity. As for the first two of tropical and the world well there it is>> many of those countriees are low on covid too!

So far no hope.. ok... ressurection and grampa comes back at 20 and looks for 20 year old grandma chasing alaexander the great (also 20) whose handsome. My dad might end up with someone else beside my mother who still lives... Is this paradise or a $hithole?

Okay.. we live and die... accept it and move on and make a differeance.... leave the world a better place then you entered... it's easy today in the 21st century!

In fact I would propose that the world of over 7 illions people despite some in some areas being in poverty and some having covid and other illnesses... we are better then the Jews of Jesus day!

To answer Phizzy's question I obviously prefer atheistic schoolars however the majority of the ones I listed are all atheists. It's hard to be a theist an still know modern biblical schoolarship. (Bart Erhman is a classic example of a Christian that became agnostic over time due to his research)

As for who the men are I have some theories but they are speculation so far. Here it goes:

P was a high priest andbelve it or not likely of Samaritan decent. Nehemiah 13:28 states:

One of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite; therefore I chased him from me.

Thre is evidence from letters between Egypt, Saamria and Judah of a close kinship between the three so-called Jewish communities.I have proposed that P might be Eleazar the son of Simon the Just but this is speculation.
As for J and D I have proposed Andreas and Aristeus two of the men who along with Eleazar went to Egypt to write a 'history of the Jews' under the rule of Ptolomy II Philedelphius. But again these are guesses at best.
I have disregarded an E source as belonging to D. Thus I proposes (as of a few days ago) a Suppliment of P---J---D running from Genesis to Kings (P likely added H/ Leviticus 17-26 later)

I should add this makes the historicity of this material very low. before 1 Kings 14 it is unlikely anything is historical. From 1 Kings 14 on there are quotations from the two annuls of Isreal and Judah and here we line up with history to a degree.

I find the use of the word 'colored' to be slightly racist but will comment.

The governing body has and issue because all magazines and books from the pre-1970 or so were white dudes.. This is normal. I have popular mechanics series books from 1958 .. all white guys that look like the hardy boys lol

But seriously the JW religion expnaded more after and diversified. I have never seena racist JW except a 1940's era man who had other weird ideas.

The fact is the artists for WT need to follow previous drawings. In heaven all is shining so all seem white like Jesus in Revelation 1. (Yeah he's white there) So to follow from that the 144,000, must be like Christ.

I don't think it;s racist since Samuel Herd is african-american. and is on the governing Body. Sanderson wishes he was Asian lol

In the late 19th century were many of the worlds best scientists. Darwin, Faraday, Testla, Edison etc. And amoung them wasa lone archeologist named William Albright who screwed up biblical schoolarship for over a hundred years.

Before Albright schoolars in Europe hit on several conclusions about the bible:

1. Ancient Isrealite history might have been composed very late

2. Historical figures of the bile should be taken as relaiably as King Arthur. (Likely a composite of two 5th century AD British dudes)

This shool became known as the Copenhagen school and started work mainly on the New Testament disregarding Pauline authorship of any letter and moving Jesus to a cosmic figure. As for the Old testament they were about to get started when...

Yep.. Albright and his wonky archeology...

He produced the version of the Documentary Hypothesis that invaded all schoolarship of the 20th century. The idea was simple.

Some time after Solomon the J text was written

Sometime after the divided Kingdom E was Written

J and E were combined after 722 BCE

D was written by scribes of King Josiah in the late 600s BCE

P was written in the Babylonian Exile in the 500s BCE

Ezra combined all this in the 450s.

What a bunch of bull$hit!! No archeology Albright came up with fit this model! None, Nada. In fact the sources he claimed were the creation stories in Babylon that prouced J were tablets written thousands of years before J and even then why would Solomon uses a Babylonian creation story?

Israel Finkelstein pulverized this theory in the early 21st century by showing the Kingdom of Davaid and Solomon never esisted as a Kingdom!

Now whre has the tide turned?

Many are trying to make a push by dating some of the texts to the Persian peridod in roughly 537-332 BCE. Did any Persian write history or prophecy like the Old Testmament? Not really. Persian history was reorded by their enemies and the best historical writers ever.... The Greeks

As for the New Testament Bart Erhman is getting lonely nowdays by promoting a historical Jesus. So we have come... full circle back to before Albright and his vomit.

The reason I post this tiny but harsh article is because as I work on my book I am constantly having to redo and change material and recheck and challenge myself to the point that I need to trash a theory I held only days befoe for a more solid one. NBut 20th century schoolarship said: Albright is god! And until Carrier, Price, Finkelstien, Gmirkin, Thompsin and other challeneged this in the 21st century we see a flaw in human thinkiing.

We want the world to be right, we want truth and if someone has a theory we say... Yes.. that's it!.... Is it? Maybe... but... challenge it! And that means before all yourself! Yes YOU are the worst enemy of reason because it's hard for a person to admit they are wrong. Enstein managed to admit his mistake on entagelment very late..

But 99% on this message board are ex-JWs.. We all thought we hard 'the truth'. My lesson I have learned in writing the last few months is NEVER ASSUME YOU KNOW THE TRUTH. Challenge yourself with questions. (Even in Romans the author useses questions to expand the philosophy of grace)

I stand here redoing several chapters because.. guess what I can be wrong and rechalleneged. For me I am going beyond the Hellenistic theory to try and figure out a supplementary hypothesis within the later time period for the OT. (The NT I haven't dealt with yet)

Magnum this is not a personal attack lol: I'm refering to BLM and other issues no one else seems to have an issue with but the USA does. The other places in Europe did away with old government after WWII. But to each their own.

Sigh.. I've stayed away from politics for all my life. So gie me a brak this is my first political post but having read Rupublic by Plato I can assure you the USA is not a real republic.

I actually didn't care who won but if the USA does move to the left (unlikely) so be it. Finally they can join Europe, Canada, the rest of the enlightened world!

Look in the 18th century it was called the.....'enlightenment'. This is not a new thing this so -called hippie movment. It's time for all of us to be equals and vomit out the racist and backwards religious thinking like 40% of the USA thinking the world is 6000 years old!. It time to say enough isenough. i did a video on this subject once but feel this is a noteworthy topic.

to be honest the old nwt has come under sonsiderable attack from fundie morons attacking it's nt which was translated with a few revisals in 1950.the truth is john 1:1 and 8:58 and other texts, though despite being odd, are within the translation rules as are the inclusion of the word {other} since this was stated in the forward as an interpolation.

jehovah in the nt is odd but certianly lacking as other translations have added more yhwh.. so the ot?

I will give the WT a bone here and admit the 1984 referance edition is excellent for the referances that show varients between the LXX Vg MS etc. I often use those referances.

I know I will be in the monority here being I'm an atheist but John 1:1 can be translated either way as Dr. Price has said many times.

I would place the gospel of John (and 1,2,3 John as well as early cores of the Pauline letters are Gnostic and would argue that the gospel of John though aknowledging the god of the Jews actually preaches that the Father of Jesus Christ is a higher God superior to YHWH
