looking for Jw infomation about the bible being changed etc?

in one of mike and kim's latest videos they claim that the borg wrote in the 1960's that the book of revelations wasn't even finished until a much later date.

they have also stated that apostate christians changed the bible> i've also read years ago they trashed the bible or at least the king james years ago after another one of their fail predictions and right before they made their own bible> .

i'm looking for these writings and any other that where the borg is criticizing the bible?.

They teach that Revelation was finished in 96CE. As other posters have stated above they claim so-called apostate Christians changed the bible removing YHWH, They never trashed the KJV you can downllowd it from their website or use JW Library and add it to the app under 'languages'.As for their placing Jehovah 237 times in the NT they are not the only ones to do so. It's a common theory among Me3ssiac Jewish Christian that the name of YHWH was removed from the new testament

most here know that story elements in the jesus story are drawn from the ot.

countless elements of gospels are cut straight from the descriptions of ot characters like moses, joshua, samuel et.al.

an interesting suggestion involves a passage that was the very last straw for me years ago.

The story in Judges is a Helenistic fable like aesop. As for Jesus crown of throns I doubt the gospel writers thought of Judges 9. Likely they refered to Genesis 22 with the lamb in the thicket. (A story pulled from Iphigenia's sacrifice.)

The idea is expressed fully in 1 Kings 21 i think. Ahab repents and YHWH forgives him.. BUT the punishment falls on his children who all die horribly. (Well actually 2 Kings 9 is slightly historical)

More Mary Martha and Lazarus

in a previous thread discussing the rich man and lazarus parable in luke, the relationship of this parable to the lazarus resurrection story arose.

as i said in that thread i'm pretty convinced that the writer of john fleshed out this character in the rich man& lazarus parable into a narrative featuring a man named lazarus.

For point one: Luke 16 and John 11 are to similar.For point 2:I agreeFor point 3 I agree.I have not yet investigated the army of Marys in the gospels. There are almost too many to count. However if John is first (As I have so far been able to place it) the two sister are repeated only in Luke with the dumbest parable of the one working and the other listening. This to me suggests Marcionite origin following John. around 120 CE maybe.
The other two gospels are trash in my opinion. Mark is an apocalyptical work that cares not about previous stories and moves through then with such speed that they lack any meaning. Matthew is a good gospel but it should be labeled 'the Jewish Gospel against the Gnostics'. These two do make Martha and Mary fuse together and possible other Mary's too. The point you make has again added another argument for my second century origin of the gospels.

Joen I would like to see where the old testament prophecies of Jesus are fulfilled in John. See my hypothesis for the NT (which is months away in my book) is Marcionite priority. However I believe the Gospel of John is also Gnostic and predates the synoptics. I have noted reading John that although Jesus is defiantly the messiah to the Jews and was indeed prophesied in the Hebrew Bible I think his 'father' was not YHWH. I'm interested in hearing your comments.

the scriptures clearly show that someone can act in harmony with god’s spirit in giving comfort and help in the congregations, but if i could just clarify a little, going back to matthew 24, clearly, jesus said that in the last days ‐ and jehovah’s witnesses believe these are the last days ‐ there would be a slave, a group of persons who would have responsibility to care for the spiritual food.

Uh.... WTF.. This is a man that speaks with Jesus along with the other 7. What did he just do?. He reveled he can't speak to Jesus.

I disagree.. I believe John predates the synoptic gospels. The next gospel I believe was 'The Gospel of the Lord' a predecessor to Luke. In chapter 16 of Luke is the rich man and Lazarus. Note this post dates John. The author assumes Lazarus died and has the rich man beg for him to return. Also the mention of five brothers fits a verse in John 11 about men who wanted to kill Lazarus.

so the past couple of years, i’ve read several stories about jws who left the organization at an early age because they knew something wasn’t right------but they never bothered to research the religion.

there was this feeling that the watchtower was not god’s only channel.

so they left at an early age.

I disagree completely with the original post. All I needed was to see evolution was factual 100% and no more WT doctrine or bible. Done
