  Biblical clues to what God the Jews worshipped

  recently there is a royal bulla that was found in jerusalem, that of the judean king hezekiah on it was two egyptian ankhs and a wings sun disk.

  there have been other artifacts found with that of the egyptian scarab beatle which relates to sun worship.

  so does the bible give any clues to the god of the jews?.

  Some likely did worship Egyptian gods. The Omrides worshipped Yhwh ...despite what the book of Kings tells us. But yhwh was one on the 70 sons of El and likely came from south of Edom...prehaps near Egypt.

  Yes the Iao issue is easy.... before the Hasmoeon dynesty I dont think there was any issue whose god you worshipped. That one family of priests took control of religion.

  We know certian houses in Israel and Judah in pre exilic timnes worshipped yhwh but not as anymore then a war god.

  In the Persian era yhwh was worshipped however likely zorastrainism contributed to monotheism becoming norm.

  The hellenistic era prior to 150 bce was a mixed bag likely. For instance the was astatue of moses on an ass in the temple in 200bce lol

  some christians explanation for evil in the world.

  i came across this "serpent seed".. it claims that cain was the offspring of eve and the talking serpent (sorry i'm lmao while.

  writing this) that christians much later identified as satan.

  Ruth we are told lives in the time of the judges... Ok no problem/ Until the end. She marries Boaz... Obed... Jesse David... Still just reading Genesis to Ruth we have no problem really... In fact>>>

  Jews have few problems wiih the book of Ruth.

  Christians do, including JWs, because of Matthew....

  Matthew claims Ruth marries Boaz the son of Salmon who married Rahab. Rahab the whore (aww... does that word shock you... it's in the bible :p)

  Anyway this places Ruth only one generation from the conquest. (under Joshua)... the problem is she the great grandmother of David...

  Conquest: 1473-1467BCE

  David born 1107 BCE

  This is WT Chronology and represents 360 years. This is on average 180 years for obed and Jesse to have children. But Joshua lives 110 years and David 70... that theory dies quickly.

  If Matthews genology is bad Jesus is not Shiloh ....

  If Ruth is bad... who was David?

Since he is bald naturally I simply said yes and you have no hair... we had a laugh an d I used a quick comment. I have eczema and mentioned my beard hided it... he nodded and left... On other brother although not commenting on my beard mentioned I looked younger...okauy

  yes it seemed to preach the scientic method..so ai thought.

  the point is my faith was never based on 'i belive.....' i thought based on the bluecreation book we had the truth.. latley a witness sakid herewes 11:1 meant that faith is the evidence.... well f***his idea.. if jws start belebong ths nonesese they will never escape.

  Wooly Mammoths

  a jw came to my door a while back and used wooly mammoths as evidence for noah's flood.

  he was a bit older, so i thought this must be some oddball out-of-date teaching of jehovah's witnesses.

  i could remember something in the insight book about frozen mammoths, but not much else.

  I have doubts... can you help me??- A new idea

  i have been perplexed as to how to brung my wife out of jws and to exit the religion... but i had an idea last night.

  i know that elders will legitimantly meet with brothers who have doubts and encourage them... not df them .. this is a sheperding call etc.. thus since my wife knows i have doubt s i could say: i want to have two brother over to discuss this ... she will agree.... of course i will hit these guys with biblical textual issues, an biology to where they are stunned and still ask... "so brothers... can you solve this conflict...?".

  in this case they will not think of me as an apostate but may question their own beliefs... .

  My main issue is she knows I have doubts.... I have refused to tell her what they are until the time is right.

  Meanwhile I dont want meetings, service etc in my life. I also hate praying to Jablooper at meals.

  She doesnt drive so of I miss a meeting...she does... and gets mad at me about it.

  So for me to exit fully is impossible almost.
  

  I asked about confronting the elders for two reasons:

  It is a subtle way to let her know my doubts

  The so-called secret elder book says elders may address genuine doubters and such are not apostates..

  As for the governing body questionI will simply quote Jackson and state that is Br. Jacksons staement under oath.

  Crazyguy I was but after advice from here not to I gave up... Also during our moht on vacation we drew closer together as a couple ... from a marriage that was fuctioning to a marriage thriving... so right now I have her trust... I need to replan as such... Now I plan to show the elders this... they will try to confirm all this and help me as their manuel says... but... well they are wrong.... when my wife sees the elders give upI' hoping plan A will work
