Roll call of those of us stuck in for our spouse or whos spouse is still in!

i just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.

also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.

i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.

Hello BU2B, I am still in due to my wife. she is still asleep to the mind control. our older son who is a teen thinks it a bunch of crap, he came to this by his own accord. our younger child will also learn as he goes it is crap. i teach them about the bible and Jesus. I will not allow our family study to be on the BORG propoganda. stricly the bible, when at the meetings I always show her the difference as to what the bible says and what the conductor is saying and how they are twisting the scripture. I hope she wakes up!!!!!! but for now i have to go the the circus to keep the peach..but note: she knows how i feel. baby steps i guess.

hi wannabefree: to me it's a play on words. allowing jesus not to elevated. I have looked at many other bibles and have never seen this play on words.

Thank you so much...so it's just another way for the dubs to manipulate scripture to there teachings. also i love what you wrote about cults. I wish my wife would open her eyes. i was at the meeting last night and just taken back by the people there who swallow the BS hook line and sinker. always shaking there head in agreement. like bobble heads.

I am so sorry to hear youR wife puts the BORG, before you...you should remind her that the bible say's. Let no man pull apart what God has yoked together.

In other words, she sould consider her marriage more important than the BORG. I too have expressed to my wife that I dont' agree with what the BORG teaches. She made a comment about going to the brothers. I told her that that woud cause a huge amount of problems. none of which she is ready to go through.

sometimes she will say things about what she thinks she know....i usually counter with a comment that shows different. I than say...we will not talk about the JW beliefs...because I don't feel like arguing. 99.9% of the time we don't talk about the JW's. when we do our family study it is strickly about the bible.

one thing that truely bothers me is...she really has never been taught about Jesus. So she never talks about him or includes him. I have shown her over and over how important Jesus is and what the bible say's about him. I take it she has been brainwashed so long she may never wake up.

it was a long time coming for me.....when i read about the extened generations, after being raised on1914 being the be all end all, and millions would never die....that was the end.

i was part of the 1975 fiasco, the 6 month only truth book studies, suffered through a disifellowshipping and their version of a rewind.

i finally am free and hope others can eventually look in instead of inside looking out!

i started having doubts when they started changing the wheat and weed stuff and the final straw was the generation BS.

do my own research I found that stated in 1john2:21

the truth does lie, all i see if lies...i am still tryig to wake up my wife.

she made a commment a few days ago that bothered me and showed how deeply she was brainwashed. I was trying to tell here about the faithful and discreet slave and how it has changed so many times. she stated i don't care about the past. i just care about now, they have the truth she said.

I was like really....luckly we have only been in 6 years and half of that being baptized. don't associate with jw's anyways. we think they are shallow. she feels the same.

Were you 100% in?

i was baptized in 1968. last meeting 2010. i have to say i was never 100% in.

there were times i absolutely believed, but i never really gave it my all.

never liked service, assemblies, meetings.

i think i was 100% in for about 2 months....i peaked early. I am about 20% in and droping and wife is about 40%, she might she is higher but she doesnt relize she is much lower and does service and meetings out of guilt. my son is 0% he thinks it a crock of $hit and he is only 14.

it turns my stomach when i see the WT zombies......but ofter wonder how many are also just going thru the motions.

the only way i can sit through the meetings is due to having my tablet and connection to this forum!.

since awakening, i can't believe how much i cringe each and every meeting when i hear all the propaganda and garbage spewed out from the bible and the society!.

i only cope by venting on here.. (plus it is so easy when sitting at the back of the hall or on the sound control box... hahaha).

Thanks Stuckinarut2, Joining this cult 6 years ago was a hug mistake...i thought originally it would help the marriage and the family life (not that it was bad before) but just make it that much better with god in our lives. hmm i still want Jesus and Jehovah in our lives....but not the Borg!!!!! Some of the worst people i have meet are JW's. just very incosiderate and pompus.
