Bethel layoff question

with the layoffs of bethelites and special pioneers, does anyone know if they get some sort of "redundancy" payout?

i've noticed there seems to be a higher percentage of born-ins here....who are the converted jws?.

does anyone care to share how they got converted?.

i would say i wasn't converted right out form a knock. but my wife was born in, but inactive...after about 20 years of no religion, i made the mistake of getting wife back into it. from there i was lied to and decieved, i blame my own ignorance for not checking things out throughly. so we got involved, i realized the BS and now look i am stuck and looking for a clean break with family intact. but, it doesn't look like my marraige is going to make it once i leave. SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so.... here it is.

i took my 11 year old trick or treating this year. i had promised him last year that we would and i did. my 16 year old went along and ended up getting down with him and did a few doors (no pun intended)

here's the kicker...man was my 11 year old experiencing some cognitive dissonance. i had to calm him down, both myself and my 16 year old told him it was not a big deal. that what the witnesses told him was all wrong. one thing i told him was that i was just a man made holiday and it was not evil and that were not going to die or nothing bad will happen. like they brainwash there people. ( I hate this cult)

so we did a few doors (no pun intended) got lots of candy, meet some really nice people. he came away excited and happy he did it. he said that the people doing it, were nothing like the washtowel portrays.

it was great!!!!! baby steps.....i wish i could leave this cult for good and never look back. why can't my brainwashed wife wake up????????

i know need to find away to have christmas.

Leah Remini - Scientology

last night on 20/20, they did an interview with leah remini (american actress know for king of queens tv show) she was raised in scientology since the age of 8, and recently left rather publicly.

she re-enforced what we all know, that they are bat shit crazy (like any cult) but also talked about how hard is it to leave something that's been a part of you for so long.. so many interesting parallels to our world (former world) of jw'dumb.

it's a great ep to watch with someone you are trying to awaken.

saw this with my brain washed wife...it confirmed to me that she has no clue about her own faith.

she couldn't and doesn't have the mental power or reasoning ability to connect the two together. That the scientologist are a cult and the jehovah witnesses are a cult.

so much for hope.....;

Almost Hooked

back at the end of last year my now ex got what he thought was a printed form letter from a woman at a kh down the street from us.

i insisted it was handwritten.
