Ever notice how JW's can attend a talk or Convention and remember nothing?

how many times have you asked a jw who has attended a public talk how the talk was, only to be told it was so great!

yet they cannot remember the title nor any one single point except that the brother was "funny" or was good with illustratiions or some other vauge point?

and conventions weren't far off either.

The talks put people to sleep because the logic or lack of logic is so out there that the mind wanders while the speaker speaks and so recall become's very spoty as consciousness takes a vacation in the form of a kind of twilight awareness interspersed with Rem Sleep which causes heads to bob up and down when in uncomfortable chairs and high carbon dioxide levels which in turn suspends critical judgement. Mind Control Cult Indoctrination at its finest moment.

The message is really just one thing "Listen And Obey the Faithful and Discreet Slave If You want to Live" Obey us and f**king Like it!

A little pat on the ass is one thing and it may have the childs concern as the primary motive, but when it comes to violence and brut force that is another issue.

As the recipent of some brutal rage as a child, I can see laws to protect the children from such angry nonthinking emotional outburst directed toward children from parent as a good thing and as neccesarry for a better world to live in. It is all matters of degrees with hard to define black and white borders. None the less a step in the right direction for our future generations to prosper.

Spanking should not be looked to as a quick fix cure all, instead of a more intelligent responce to handling problems with children that comes with understanding your child and responding in way that reflect more than just a surface reaction to an annoyance. This takes time, patients, and understanding(which takes time of observation), it is quite natural to look for quick fixes in situations and follow some primal urge past down to us over many violent generations it's in our DNA, but so is our great capacity for learning and making changes where intelligence guides the way over ingrained instincts from our more violent past.

WT Study Article Nov. 23, 2014--Adam understood "day" to be 24 hours

interesting admission in today's wt: adam may have understood "day" (as in "in the day you eat from it, you will positively die") to be a literal 24-hour period.

i don't think the wt has ever said this before; the usual emphasis is that jah meant it as a figurative day, a day from his standpoint which is 1,000 years (and the article does state that, later).. however, if adam understood god's warning to be carried out in a 24 hour period, and god did nothing to alleviate that, then who did the lying?

actually, regardless of adam's understanding, the question still stands but moving toward an admission of the use of day in that context to be 24-hours only makes the question even more valid.

how should you react when all of a sudden, a loved one has a moment of lucidity.

within the space of a couple of hours, my wife talked about politics, race relations, and gave the kids a passionate lecture about how life sucks without a college degree which is why they should study.

what can i put in her coffee to keep her this way?.

I was just joking as I take it you were too about the coffee additive. But that being said a small micro dose is what I was talking about which can not be felt but in my estimation would get the neurons firing in different patterns which mean new ideas comming to consciousness gradually with little epiphanys over time instead of a big dose with tremendous life changes in its wake. That is what happened to me with the use of cannabis along with the internet search engines availible at the time(1999).

I'm familiar with the ayahuasca church from south america, and have ingested the brew scores of times, powerful stuff if given time to integrate the insights, but one thing for sure it brings clearity.

It will make the world a much safer place if our children don't have to suffer violence from their parents. Hilter was beaten by his dad and landed in a comma for 3 days and we see what effect that had for the whole world.

How do you make a murderous Dictator, perhaps being abused as a child has some lasting consquences reaching over into adulthood as a programed responce which is useing violence and might to solve issues as apposed to other options?
