I know Gail, and her Xhusband Mike. She was a real zealeous pioneer, I remember her husband got DF for cheating on her. He latter got remaried.

When they announced her DFing she stood up in the front row and proclaimed she was falsely accused, and took some sort of legal action against the elders, althought I wasn't privy to the inside info at the time. She latter was reinstated, and everything seem OK with her and the elders. So I'm rather surprised to read this.

Any way she was on my mailing list for apostated literature two years ago. Wish I could get in touch to see how she doing, maybe I try looking up her address and drop her a few lines.

so sad..........arrest warrants were just executed against him for multiple counts of child molestation.

as a mom i am deeply appalled, as an ex witness i am saddened at his lack of power over his own life and ability to move forward, beyond the scarring of an abusive upbringing.

I'm glad they finally caught him. I happy to for his adopted children, I hate to think about what type of father he was to those kids.

I wish the best for his children, and hope they get a good home, which judgeing from all the publicity this will bring, they probably will.

The way I see it God made space and time and therefore doesn't need them to exist.

I know the Bible speaks of God as a rock but it is just a metaphor. I don't think you can discribe God except by metaphor because he is beyond our senses to discribe.

Jesus being with his Father is something that goes beyond our comprehension since all we know is the physical world and don't have the senses to experience the Spirit world.

So it seem very silly to me to even expect the Bible to accurately discribe Jesus after his going to the Father, only metaphorically.

God speaks of himself as a man sometimes in the Bible, we say the Bible is using anthropomorphisms. We should not take it literally. God has no need of legs, mouth, bladder, penis, or rectum, because he is not physical, he created the physical and therefore is before the physical and is in no need of the physical to live.

they ascribe authorship to the "anonymous" beloved disciple.

Thanks for the info i find it very helpful. I enjoy the site you posted a while back on "Early Christian Writings"

"John's" gospel is certainly the most spiritual of the four. Interesting thing about this gospel is he doesn't enclude the sign of Christ comming again. And has Jesus at a wedding feast 3 or 4 day after his baptism in stead of in the wilderness fasting like the other 3 gospels in fact doesn't even include the temptation by the devil. Doesn't speak about casting out demons. And names Peter in places that the other three omit.

In fact if one reads this Gospel closely it seems to be a kind of put down of the other three, and definitely a put down for Peter.

I thought of that, it is a good idea I would do it if you know of any reporter that would want me to. BTW it was the Cow Palace, about 3 conventions ago.

While I'm all for bad publicity to expose the WT, I have to see some good returns for my efforts, so if you have any good plans I'm game.

If I went back to my old KH I would be asked to leave and then if I would not comply they would call on Satan's worldy policemen to escort me off the premises. Kind of hypocritical if you ask me seeing how they veiw the world as evil and yet rely on the world to protect them from evil apostates.

The last time I went to the KH I was arrested for tresspassing, although I was sitting quietly in the front row, my presents really disturbed them.

The last Convention I attended, i was escorted out by six really big attendants, just because i was reading quietly to myself "Crisis of Conscience" durring the session, boy what a bunch of paronoid people!LOL

well - i asked them a few questions they couldn't answer - so they're going to do some research and come back.

they did offer me a free home bible study (cool - free!!

Don't let them know your an Xjw.

Ask them why they feel only JW are going to be save when there are so many good christians that aren't JW.

Ask them if it really matters to God if they get all they get the right answer to some Bible quiz, so that they can't get salvation unless they get a perfect score.

Ask them why they added to the requirement of faith in Jesus, membership in their religion in order to get salvation.

Don't get into doctrine, just ask questions that will make them think. I wouldn't bring up pedophile issue right away, they will never come back. Make like your interested in what they have to say, but don't quite see the need to join their religion, but would do so if they could help you, let them feel they might be able to convert you if they could just help you over these basic questions.

I think Jesus was God who came to the earth to show us what God is really like (personality wise).

As for paying for our sins by his own life, that may be just how they veiwed it back then and may not really be totally correct.

As the Bible says the "word" of God became flesh which was a much deeper form of comunication of what God is like than just inspiring somebody to explain him.

As we all wounder why there is suffering in the world, for the Bible doesn't answer that question, I think God comming down the this earth as a man with all the physical limitations of a man, suffering the same things we suffer, even to the point of death thru torture, shows that God is not indifferent to our plight, and that it must be for a good reason, which we can't understand yet, but the fact that he suffered for us should give us, faith that if God would do this at great pain to himself he isn't asking us to do something he wouldn't do.
