i recently learned ttatt and it really sickens me when i sit through the meetings.
i am so tired of faking things.
i feel like vomiting when annoying things are said from the platform.
1. I totally zone out at the meetings. Having a baby helps with that.
2. I find reasons to not go out in service. Usually we end up out 2 Saturdays a month. I rarely try a door. Usually just time waste calls and break time.
3. I like to people watch at the meetings. I try to figure out if any other friends there are awake yet.
anybody going or who can give us the noolite hot from the gb a$$?.

I imagine there will be some leaks trickling out tonight. Noolite could vebtonight or at the branch visit in November.
it has been a while since i've seen a witness, either in person or virtually.

There is an infiltration of this at our hall as well. Last week the Sunday speaker had a huge jw.org badge on. It was embarrassing. i have pointed this out to my wife. She agrees that some dubs go overboard but does not agree that it is idolatry. In her mind it's just advertisement.
like most people reading this, i was convinced that by 2014 the new system would 'definitely' have been operating for at least a decade.
now that i know this is not going to be the case i am going to have to think of some way to recognise 100 years of wts let downs and failed predictions.
there is no point fretting over the past so i think it will be a good time to celebrate.

i don't know about ya'll, but i did not appreciate the 1980s enough.
i was too busy lamenting how different they were from the 1960s and 1970s to bask in and appreciate how wonderful they were.. this is 80s music, especially new wave music, and 80s fashion and culture appreciation thread.

The 80s were pretty fantastic! its hard to top some good ol' talking heads.
i've been doing some research about famous witnesses.
some were raised and eventually left, while others came in as adults.
they range from sports players, musicians, and entertainers.
Of course there no longer active. I wouldn't expect anyone famous to be an active dub. At least very few.

but, it really taught me one thing: if you're trying to fade or stay in, trust no one.

in many places it is illegal to set up a stand and sell things in public without council approval.
so why is it that jws can set up their trolleys in busy public areas without being asked to move on?
i saw this article this morning about muslims being asked to stop handing out leaflets in parramatta, because it is illegal.
Our congregation has yet to get permission to use the cart anywhere in our territory. Therefore it is sitting idle. Someone mentioned that Meier (local bustling super market) won't allow any solicitors outside of its store. Not even Salvation Army. Supposedly if they allow one group then they have to allow all groups to have their turn.
I had an interesting discussion with an elder yesterday regarding cart work. I asked if he would do it. His response
"get to count time for sitting there and doing nothing? Sure, I'm in"

A huge advantage that the US has is in our quality of life. This is a great place to live.
long time lurker, first time poster here finally looking to get some things off my chest.
i've always been a very curious person with tons of questions about everything, and i also care deeply particularly about societal issues like social injustice, racism, and homophobia.
that, coupled with how boneheaded all the elders in my congregation are (except for one), led me to ask even more questions that led me to find ttatt.. .
Let's party- Thanks for sharing your story. A lot of us here r in similar situations. I too have shared some of my doubts with my wife and she hasn't turned me in yet. Slow and steady seems to be the best route for me. We have a great marriage and I am going to do everything I can to not allow the Borg to ruin that. I wish you the best on your journey and look forward to reading more of your posts.
