Mobile Hotspot - JWFACTS.COM - Assembly & Conventions
by thedepressedsoul inhere is an idea i tested.
works at both assemblies and conventions.
i have noticed at the last convention and at my last assembly that when i opened up my wifi setting, tons of hotspots came up for people tethering their tablets to their smart phones.

I had the same exact idea but I never had the balls to go through with it. What would be fantastic is it would also let other closet apostates know that there is another one in their midst -

Welcome! I really enjoyed your post. Fifth gen is impressive. Your family must go back pretty much to the Russell days. My story is much the same except I'm fourth gen and it's my wife that's still indoctrinated. There really aren't any simple solutions. I wish you the best and look forward to your future posts.

Are Circuit Overseers next?
by Londo111 inlast year saw the elimination of the district overseer...and circuit overseers now must retire at 70. how long until the circuit overseer is no more?
of course, the role might still exist, they would simply not get paid.
they would have to care for their own expenses.

In the U.S. Each Congo pays a special fee to provide for the COs car and car insurance. They also provide a place to live and pay for all of their expenses when they are at their hall. I believe bethel pays for their health care. I didn't think beyond that bethel paid for much else. -

Looking at the pics of Warwick... I'm chocked.
by StephaneLaliberte ini am truly chocked and baffled by the number of volunteers they got for this project; especially in the states.
looking at one of their articles on the matter, they stated that a large portion of the printing work was delegated to other locations than ny, thus, they did not need as much space as they did in ny.
also, it was stated that operation cost in nyc were expensive.

I know a " brother" that has flown from Caliornia twice to paint. For only 1 week each time. As for accommodations I think it varies. I know that some pay to stay at hotels. Others may get to stay for free. Someone from our hall has gone twice (bout 12 hour drive) to do a menial trade job. He is hoping to go again in December. -

I hear you. But the people going to work on it are happier than flies on crap to be doing it. It's such an utter waste of time. Usually people go for only a week or two at a time to work. This kind of format seems incredibly wasteful. By the time they get there and Comfortable on your assigned project it is time to leave. You get yourself there on your own dime. You pay for your own lodging while there. And I believe you supply your own tools as well. It is quite the racket.
