  The new service meeting

  i wanted to relate an experience that happened this morning.

  it is regarding the new format for the meeting on thursdays in my area.

  its not word for word but im summarizing what i heard, the best i can remember.

  we've all been trying to decipher what is going on at the top of the watchtower organization.

  clearly, the game's afoot, we just don't know what game we're playing.

  Great post Jeff!!! I have wondered the same. It is telling to me that no new GB have been added. It is now down to 7. There could be some discension against any new GB knowing that as older ones die off they will have a bigger piece of the power pie.

  any JW construction going on other than Warwick?

  is anybody aware of any kingdom hall builds going on or any kind of ldc activity?

  i've been wanting to ask this, and committeechairman's question at the end of this thread, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/289353/ldc-semininar?page=4&size=20, moved me to go ahead and ask.. i've kind of wondered whether the org leaders got rid of rbcs and instituted the ldc arrangement because they wanted to be able to stop or slow down construction without it being obvious.

  if the rbcs were still in existence, it would be obvious that there's nothing (or almost nothing) going on (if that really is the way it is) because rbc personnel would be idle when they were used to being busy.

  Android browser: search and edit don't work.

  hi simon,.

  thanks for maintaining this forum.. i use this site almost exclusively on my android phone and tablet.. there are 2 annoying issues there:.

  Blood Cards on File with the Elders?

  i have a question for elders here or recent elders.

  were the elders, in the last 10 years, given instruction to keep a copy of every publishers blood card on file at the kh?.

  we moved to our current cong 6 years ago, and shortly after we moved in, the boe requested everyone update and give a copy of card to the kh.

  There has been a recent effort to keep the blood cards on file. At our hall each service group coordinator is responsible for collecting those of his group. I am fairly sure that there was a letter more recent than that KM regarding this but I have no idea when it was.

  Next year will be a very tough year for me

  my new year resolution is to invest more of my time with my family and friends.

  also, as i approach retirement ( i am 50), i need to make sure there's enough to keep me and my wife going beyond our eighties.

  i want to thank all of you because my time here, posting and reading, have been a great learning experience.

  50 can be close to retirement if your in a union or have been good with your money. I hope that you have a good year!
