Some of my musings. The last time the DO was at our hall he talked about the borians. The ones who checked the scriptures carefuly to see if these things were so. He said a mature christian does not need to do this. Only babes in the truth do this. The last time out CO was at our hall he said, The governing body gets their stuff from Christ, and then passes it on to the Co. Then he passes it on to the Elders. So when an Elder tells you somthing, it's the same as Jesus Christ telling you. I thought, what if an Elder tells an under age girl or boy to remove some clothing? REmember Jesus is speaking. Give me a break. That kind of talk ticks me off! venting.

If You Could Tell A Jehovah's Witness One Thing~~~What Would It Be?

Remove yourself from inside the box, and think from the outside. Then see if what you belive holds up.
I like what faithful witness said. That says it all. Why can't things be transparent? When I went to my first distric convention the apostates " so called" were handing out info. I asked the brother that was studing with me what were in those tracs? He told me those people got DF for wrong doing. Now they are mad so they make up lies about us. I said oh! Many years later one of my bible studies was given some literture. I had to go through it with him. I was really surprised what I read! It wasn't lies. venting.

I remember one time placing the creation book with an older wealthy jewish man. When I returned he had some very good rebutels about the book. He new a thing or two about science. I remember being confused. I thought that book was a masterpiece. I told one of the Elders in my hall about what the man said about the book. The elder told me this man must be an apostate. I thought, what a dumb thing to say. Venting

Some other things That have always bugged me. When you get baptised the last thing they ask you is.. And do you reconise this makes you a member of Gods spirit directed earthly organization yada yada. Something like that. I used to think. Thats not in the bible. In other words you have to obey what they say. Then everybody says yes!! You are now zombies! Then everybody claps. Disfellowshiping. They expect you to have nothing to do with your son or daughter for the rest of your life if need be. I could never do this. My kid was df and I still talked and showed loved. I know that makes me very bad example. I know some people who have cut off all ties. They haven't seen their kids in years. I'm sure the c/o gives them a thataboy pat on the back. This is just too much to ask. What if the org is wrong? You can't get that time back. Science is a big issue with me. If you study the theory of evolution in a non jehovahs witneses setting I belive you will find as I did that evolution is a fact. The books the brothers have published are full of quote mineing. I used to think they were great. Untill I studied out side the box. Question. Is there a spell check on this site? I'm not eliterate, I had a small stroke. bare with me. venting

I started studing in the mid 70s. I remember asking the brother studing with me, how come there are no miracles today? He said, oh but there are. Then he told me that tale of the two sisters going door to door. They called on a serial killer. He did not harm them. But later that day a avon lady called on that killer and he killed her. The police asked him why he did not harm the sisters. It was because of the two big men with them! He told me they were angels. I don't know how many others heard this b.s. But that was one of many other wittness folklore tales I have heard. venting. Since I'm now a secret agent, maybe I could tunnel my way under the kindom hall to make a break! I could use my tools during one of those anoying new songs no one likes!

Just wanted to say hello. I have alot to say, but I'm not good at typeing. I'm still in the org. I will probaly stay just to keep the peace in my family. My spouse just can't get enough of that funky stuff. Its funny how things look when you step out of the box. venting.
