Michael Sam Story on the ESPY'S. He was raised a JW.
by integ inmichael sam...the football player who came out as gay, received an award on the espy's sports award show last night.
they had a video presentation documenting his struggles and it was brought out in the video piece that as a jehovah's witness, he was prohibited from playing in organized team sports...but that he went and defiantly played anyway.
so, sam not only had to overcome the gay issue but also that of being a witness.

Can an Anointed be Disfellowshipped by the Elders of Earthly Class Now?
by ProfCNJ inhi folks.
anointed jws have heavenly hope, including the esteemed privilege of reigning as kings and priests with jesus christ.
while they preach and share practially the same spiritual activities as members of the other sheep (os) do, an anointed jw has a greater distinction.. come now the disfellowshipping standards.

Prediction: The organization to ease up on disfellowshipping for apostasy.
by kneehighmiah ini believe the organization is already easing up on disfellowshipping people for apostasy.
they know most doubters just want to be left alone.
disfellowshipping them turns them into martyrs.

NEEHIGHMIAH... No... They will not lighten up... they can"t
Those of us who have left but are doing very well are their greatest fear!
I have nothing against the WTBS . However they want all still in to think that if they chose to no longer be part of this they will end up with a pitifull life.
This may be true in some cases. But I feel those who leave and end up a mess are a mess anyway. Those of us who have our shit together and leave afe doing fantastic!
WTBS will not want those still in to hang out with those who left.
Miss my sons and family... nothing else.

Well I just watched the video. I was in Seattle this summer for a week. But not as a JW. I was with wonderful friends and enjoyed the city.
As the film shows, Washington is a beautiful state.
But I prefer to travel and enjoy it on my own terms. The people in this film were no doubt excited to be asked to be in it. I the JW world this would be of the highest reward. As to how happy they are in their everyday lives... how knows. If after a stroke someone wants to set up a display and sit out with it, that is their choice. Did Jehovah arange and provide it for them... NO. They did it on their own.
If a spanish speaking brother wanted to drive from California to Washington for 1 congregation.. fine.. did Jehovah provide the oppertunity or make it so? No.. they did it on their own.
This is all fine if any want to live this life. My only regret is that if at one point in the life of one or more in this film, they chose to no longer be part of all this why can they not just say so and leave. No harm done.
Why if they still want to live in a beautiful area but not go to meetings anymore, not preach the WTBS message anymore, can they not hang out with their old JW friends.
When I chose to leave a company I am still able and allowed to meet with former co-workers for a drink.
Yes... well produced video, however I prefer to chose my own path.
Signed..... Out and doing well!

Too bad many people do not have empathy for what others go through. Often it take a major change in their own life to see how others feel.
I look back at all my JW years (over 45 of them) and find that my new non JW friends are far more understanding and loyal.
Hard for me to think of them ever mlocking me or throwing me under the bus.
Life is good now... very good

Life elsewhere
by HowTheBibleWasCreated ini of course grew up with star wars in ther 80s and the 3 star treks runing at once in the 90s' so shows depicting aliens never bothered me.. however in 95 i read 'hyperspace' by micheo kuku.
my dad picked it up and scanned it saying: "i see no reason jehovah didn't create 2 dimentional creatures we cant see.
my dad like alot of the book.

Never ask why... never ask what about this? Not for me.
