Did you become more antisocial after waking up?
by paradiseseeker ini've been shy my whole life, but during my teenage years and early 20s i managed to be more comfortable socializing and made many friends in different parts of my country (jws of course).
that was before i woke up, because i saw myself being a jw for the rest of my life and thus i made an effort to meet new jw friends.
however, after i woke up, i lost interest in meeting new people because knowing that when i leave they will be gone... feels like a total waste of time and energy.

Have you ever gone back to a meeting out of curiosity?
by stuckinarut2 injust wondering if anyone has gone back to a meeting out of curiosity?
(perhaps to an area far from your old khall where you know no one).
with all the changes from 2012 onwards (videos, tv screens, new meeting format, new songs etc) it would be an odd experience to be in attendance!.

I personally do not feel Trump is a racist. His own comments reveal he is however a narcissist, only concerned about himself. Not even his family, wife or the Republican party. Just a few years ago he was a Democrat.
On April 14th 1865, after the very week of winning the Civil war, Abraham Lincoln arrived at the Ford Theater. Exactly 8:30 pm, a full half hour after the play started.
He quietly walked up the stairs with Mary to take his seat.
No announcement of fanfare. This man just won the war! Richmond had fallen 11 days before. Once again, no fan fare or entourage.
The President of the United Stated must be Presidential. The stability of the world deepens on it.

a question after my first JW meeting
by bleak ini attended my first jw meeting recently.
first, i would like to say what i agree with about the jehovah's witnesses beliefs and practices.. 1. they don't consider israeli's as "god's chosen people" and they don't worship israel as some holy land filled with righteous jews (although there are some there) as most so-called "christians" (christian zionists) erroneously believe they are instead of the "hypocrites" and "vipers" that it is actually filled with.. 2. they don't celebrate "holidays" like easter and christmas which are, in fact, remnants of earlier pagan practices.. 3. they don't put nation before god and christ.
they don't believe in war or going to war because of some crazy government/cia secret agenda.

by Normalfulla inok , my wife and i have faded for a year and a half , i won't bore u with all the details but my wife just got confirmation that her sister got a visit some time ago saying we are marked and my sister also got the same visit in which we were described as dangerous, now for my wife , she has not spoken 1 bad word to anyone about the org apart from me (she woke me up ) the elders came around while i wasn't home and bailed her up but she said she wasn't comfortable talking to them without me there ,so the result ?......
let's do a round of all their friends and say shit about them because we can't df them but let's get them treated the same as if they were .... yeah yeah that's a good idea .... stupid mofos!
out to just wreck the reputation of any defectors from the org .

I know the feeling. I was DFed in 08 and reinstated 18 months later. Being out for that time woke me up. When I went back I viewed things different. I then walked out and never went back.
I too was marked and have not been able to talk to my family.
No regrets. Very happy now yet I do miss my sons. But hey.....they are grown men and if the chose to follow the direction of the Borg .... thats that.

i’m curious how many people believe in god?
i’m not interested in debating why you shouldn’t have a belief in a god or should.
