six months ago i knocked on my sister's door.
she was shocked to see me "god johnfree, who has died" she said smiling.
she was disfellowshipped 20 years ago.. i had not seen her for years.
Yes I have been to a couple of post reunions. Many are still mad about their life as a JW.
To me, life goes on, life can be great. We all need to move on. I do understand some need more help than others.
But as a JW I was controlled and judged. Now it is time to make the most of our lives.

two sisters did a magazine demo recently.
one used her tablet to show a scripture to the other one.
the second one said: "that looks easier than trying to find it in a book.".
Amazing how Jehovah changes his mind to keep up with technology! Could He not see the future of the internet?
Just a few short years ago the Borg counseled us not even to use paper print outs of scriptures during meetings, let alone in service.
This proves to me that this organization is run by MEN, not God. I think the creator of the universe could see the future of the internet. Men can not, and adjust what is now acceptable as they go.
today is the day.. i was baptized as one of jehovah's witnesses on march 25th 1989.disfellowshipped for admitted apostasy today, september 10th 2015.. what an amazing story we all share.
how did we get involved with this group and think this was the best way of life?.
i asked my wife to stay home from the meeting tonight and spend the evening with me.she is.... we celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary this past monday.. i must admit, i never saw any of this coming, but it couldn't have come sooner.i'm free of all the fake friendships.

i remember seeing the ex-jws parading around outside the assembly like lepers holding placards of hate.
we were the righteous and enlightened ones... and they were lost in outer darkness.

he was the school overseer but they relieved him of that to allow younger elders the privilege of the job.
now he is depressed and actually shed tears, believing his worth has diminished.
I have seen this many times. Some Elders live for position.
It is a man made, man run organization. Older men and any woman are thought of less.

yet 4 various people from local churches have.. tonight i meet a young man who is preaching with a group in china (baptist) a block away i watched a congregation build their own church.. i could go on all night with the thing i have found to be un true with the org.. glad i'm out.

does anyone have any theories why our territory that's be reduced six or seven times over the last twenty years is not covered anymore?
we use to cover our area in less than six months and now nobody really keeps track of how the preaching work by territory is going.
is the advent of the mobile-literature machine why we don't see a zealous preaching spirit?
I moved 6 moths ago and have been visited 4 times by people from churches. None were JWs. This is in a southern town.
Hell... If I knew it was to become that EZ to be an active Jobi Dobi in the "Last Days" ...I may have hung around....

i just wrote them a mail, telling them to not contact me any more under any circumstances, illness or death (79 and 83 years old).

Harsh... I too was raised JW. I am 60 now. I left a few years ago , on my own accord and am doing great.
I would never be so harsh with my 85 year old mother for staying in.
i know this has been discussed, but i think it's good that topics like this get brought back up from time to time for the sake of newbies and lurkers, plus, i have a question (related at end of post).. the org brags about "forgiving" kh mortgages as if it's so loving and giving.
i put the word in quotation marks because most of us realize it wasn't forgiving anything.
the new arrangement should actually bring it far more money.. for example, suppose there are twenty congregations total.
