  i learnt this game on another site, and its great fun.

  you name a song title and the next person names another title that has one of the words from the first one, making a chain of associations.. so far instance,.

  i've been lurking here off and on for a few years, figured i would introduce myself and share the clif notes version of my story.. i'm in my late 30's and was born in.

  mom was a jw, dad wasn't.

  got baptized in my teens and started dating my eventual wife.

  the jws make such a big deal about not taking (eating) blood in any form.

  that being the case, shouldn't they avoid eating steaks?

  even a well- done steak still contains the animals blood.

  Really weird sentence

  i've been absent from meetings recently because i'm having serious life challenges that make me really not want to have to deal with all of the people and the sitting.

  i had made an attempt to, "simplify my life" that rather than being blessed was meant with unemployment.

  lol.. anyway, i finally got tired of all the phone calls checking up on me and sent a message to someone explaining that i just wanted to be left alone (an elder).

  It's just a sound-bite which translates as, " I don't have to think about what you are saying." It ranks alongside all the pigeon-holes labelled, " Thinker," " Independant Thinker," and using Gollum accent, " MURMURER."

  "Go Where the Need is Great" - Is this phrase unique to JW's only???

  "go where the need is great"... it's one of those jw buzz-words/phrases.

  almost like a secret code that just pops up in what would otherwise be a 'normal' conversation.. .

  i was conducting an interview with a candidate this afternoon and she used this phrase when explaining that she travelled to various locations of a previous employer.

  Christian Longo story - 7pm Eastern Time Tonight

  while trying to find local listings for the investigation discovery program about the murder of kim anderson and her two children at the hands of her jw husband, i came across this listing.. the program is called final witness - airing at 7 pm on investigation discovery in canada.

  this program details the case of christian longo, a jw who murdered his wife and four children over a decade ago..

  This program was shown in UK about a year ago. What do you mean he's remarried? Please tell me he has not been released and that he's married his pen pal while still incarcerated. I still can't get the reconstruction pictures out of my head.
