the february broadcast has an item which in my view exploits a young very poorly girl.

it seems that the girl is quite a character and her faith seems to be strong.

she was baptised as a pre-pubescent innocent girl and is purported to be a regular pioneer at age 13. now read what her local paper says :-.

any JW construction going on other than Warwick?

is anybody aware of any kingdom hall builds going on or any kind of ldc activity?

i've been wanting to ask this, and committeechairman's question at the end of this thread, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/289353/ldc-semininar?page=4&size=20, moved me to go ahead and ask.. i've kind of wondered whether the org leaders got rid of rbcs and instituted the ldc arrangement because they wanted to be able to stop or slow down construction without it being obvious.

if the rbcs were still in existence, it would be obvious that there's nothing (or almost nothing) going on (if that really is the way it is) because rbc personnel would be idle when they were used to being busy.

I am near a very large metropolitan area and I only know of one new design LDC hall that's been completed.

Also, the cutbacks are actually a lot more conspicuous now that RBC is out and LDC is in. Why? Because, as hyped by the WTBTS just a year ago, many of the duties formerly carried out by RBC volunteers in their spare time are supposed to now be taken care of by full time LDC people. But.... Many of those are being laid off just as quickly as they were recruited. I know personally multiple LDC couples. One moved across the country and has since been sent home. Another is in limbo, doing paperwork at an assembly hall while they wait to find out if they will even be needed long term.

And believe this, as has been stated by others, JWs are talking. Not all JWs of course. Just the smart and honest ones. Going so far as to question the judgment of the GB hyping up all the construction only to throw the machine into reverse.

It's just another case of WT writers feeling so bound to their established WT-speak "style" that what should be a straightforward bit of counsel turns into a confusing and ultimately meaningless verbal double-knot.

Literature being discontinued, including Isaiah's Prophecy and Reasoning book

congregations get an annual letter that tells what can be ordered for literature (it's mainly a list of audio cds/dvds for the deaf), but this time it included publications that will be discontinued, and this included the isaiah's prophecy book and the reasoning book, and i think i saw the draw close to jehovah book.

i meant to take a picture of the letter but forgot.

the branch is only going to give what they have on stock, when that stock depletes that's it, you won't be able to order those publications anymore.. this is in canada so i don't know if this is worldwide..

Sir82, I think that's the point. One substitute CO who graduated not too long ago said of the school, "it breaks you." Suddenly I realized that is by design. It's not too far-fetched to say that there's a hidden purpose in the cirriculum, to break students of their "pride" so as to be willing life-long stooges for the org. Part of that process is overloading them with the most inane, complicated, and ridiculous material available... cue the Revelation Climax book. There's no loyalist like one who will dutifully memorize such claptrap and, the second it all gets "updated", be right on board with the changes and helping others to do the same.
