JWs and their views on Sex
by campaign of hate inin the past i have read on this forum that the wt have a say in the "bedroom" of couples.
i thought that was a bit overkill at first, but recently i have come to conclusion that this is true.. the control administered by the wt cooperation on ones sex life is not on only intrusive, its damaging.
they control every aspect of ones thought and action, thus leading most down a path that said corporation wants them to tread.. this path is to get married young, and then eternal loyalty the the organisation.. so how can an organisation force you to get married young?.

Flipper: More than one decade ago, I suffered an embarrassing situation before the elders when they asked me about the details of my private sexual relations with my worldy girlfriend. I was stupid in that time, because I thought they were representing God, so I had to answer their morbid questions. Now I no longer believe neither in the Society, nor in Jehovah. -

I know of an elder that prays before having sex with his wife. That is what he told his student once when we went to conduct a book study. Always pray, any moment, even before sex.Why do we need to pray before sex? .....ok, may be to do the best... -

The early apocalyptic thought that Jesus would come soon, created in most of early christians, a sense of urgency, the same as Jehovah's Witnesses. This is why celibacy was encouraged by Paul.
The source of the problem can be found in the Bible itself. Of course, the Watchtower Society has its own stupid policies.

Christianity: The most deceptive religion
by opusdei1972 injesus was a jew who apparently thought he was the messiah, however, after dying, his disciples began to propagate the lie that he would return from heaven during his generation.
but, his generation passed away, and it was clear that it was a false prophecy, then a dishonest christian wrote the second letter of peter so as to condemn those who realised that the prophecy was a fiasco.
interestingly, and sadly, this religion survived,....why????

I think that if we have "a God" who was the indirect cause of our existence, we can conclude the following :
1) He had nothing to do with the composition of the Bible. Unless He wants to mock us.
2) He wants us for living only a limit period of time (as human beings at least).
3) He knows that evil will always emerge in our social environment.
4) In general (or may be always), He is sleeping when we are in danger.

Village Idiot:
The Christian religion is the most deceptive because it is hypocrite. It says "we have to love our enemies". On the other hand, Islam says: "we have to kill our enemies". It's more sincere.

Jesus—The Way, the Truth, the Life
For an indian in the Amazon Jungle those words are senseless. Even for those who lived in America before it was discovered.

I was a preterist after leaving the Watchtower Society, so I thought that the prophecies given in Luke 21 and Matthew 24 only could make sense for the facts of the destruction in 70 A.D. However, the prophecy clearly said that
"then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.".
but, this did not happen after Jerusalem's destruction. No one saw Jesus coming in the clouds of heaven with power. On the contrary, Jesus was and is absent in many of crimes committed by his representatives on earth. Jesus can't be the head of any church.

Phyzy: Why did it appeal so ? I think it was Paul's "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" that struck a chord with the common person.
Yes, indeed, Paul's rhetoric was attractive for the masses. It was indeed attractive for me for many years. However, even Paul was deceived by the idea of the return of Jesus, which did not happen. In fact, Paul's thinking was revolutionary for that time, when people were wasting time and money in pagan cults. Without Paul, christianity could not have improved. Today, we know the fiasco of the christian religion, but it was an interesting phenomena in the first century.

Jehovah’s Witnesses Recognize That People Have the Right to Change Religions, Just Not Their Religion

jehovahs witnesses say that people have the right to change religions and that they deserve respect when it comes to that right, but this is not something that they offer to those who leave their religion.
