Legal Representatives of the Society in Peru defend the blood ban in a TV program
by opusdei1972 inthis is an old video in spanish, and excuse me for not being so literal in my translation.
in this video, the peruvian interviewer of a tv program in peru invited two representatives of the jehovah's witnesses in peru (one of them is a witness lawyer, victor, and the other one, freddy farfan, who leads the hospital liaison committee in peru.
) on account of a case in which a baby of two months old has 3.3 of hemoglobin ( a very low level), so the medical doctor strongly suggested a blood transfusion for the baby, but his witness parents do not let it.

This ban was created and rationalized by Fred Franz as an extension of the stupid ideology of Clayton Woodworth on vaccination. -

Hi Caleb :
You say : "Watchtowerism teaches people to live by polarized standards.......The world is not black and white. "
However, the New Testament polarizes people according to their beliefs:
Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist – denying the Father and the Son (1 John 2: 22)
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? (2 Cor 6:14)The above words are clear. This is the true face of the Christian religion, they want a black and white world. So, according to the early Christians if you say that Jesus is not the Christ you are a liar. If you are an unbeliever you are in darkness. These words polarized the world, because when Christians got the support of the Emperors of Rome, there were many people shunned, killed and tortured. Of course, in the Bible there are good advices, but we can't deny that the books of the NT teach a black and white world. So this is food for sectarian religions as the Watchtower.

In this video, the peruvian interviewer of a TV program in Peru invited two representatives of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Peru (one of them is a witness lawyer,Victor, and the other one, Freddy Farfan, who leads the Hospital Liaison Committee in Peru.) on account of a case in which a baby of two months old has 3.3 of hemoglobin ( a very low level), so the medical doctor strongly suggested a blood transfusion for the baby, but his witness parents do not let it. Accordingly, the interviewer highlighted the fact that the baby is with a very low level of hemoglobin. So Freddy said that there were persons who survived with lower levels of hemoglobin without a blood transfusion by using alternative methods. The interviewer asked Freddy if he thinks that the doctor suggested a blood transfusion due to an ignorance. Then Freddy said that may be the doctor prefers this technique because it is his way of thinking, but they (the committee) have found other medical team using an alternative strategy. After this technical discussion, the interviewer said that he now likes to talk about the religious issue. He then said that he wants them to substantiate the reason why the witnesses are opposed to blood transfusions. So, Victor, the witness lawyer, answered : "We have two reasons for rejecting blood transfusions......however, I firstly wanted to point out that this is not an imposition of an institution, this is a matter of personal decision......", then Victor also quoted the Apostolic decree written in Acts 15, and said "after reading this text, the conscience of the Jehovah's Witnesses impels them to reject any kind of blood, because according to the Bible, the blood represents life, and life can only be handled by the Creator "...after that, the interviewer said: "Excuse me, I am not a theologian or an expert, but what you are reading is referring to other thing, do you found in that text any mention to blood transfusions??? "...so Victor replied : "the point is that there is a prohibition about any introduction of blood to the body"...and the interviewer said: "but there the text is talking about of the sacrificed blood of animals or humans in favor to the gods, so I think that that text has nothing to do with our issue " .. so Victor said: "that's an opinion, however, if animal blood is forbidden, we have more reasons to believe that human blood is forbidden, and let me show you an illustration. If an alcoholic can't drink alcohol, this also applies for the introduction of alcohol in his veins. " ......"but we are talking about of a life of a person that must be saved" said the interviewer. ..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yLkrIj1upE

It is clear to me that the second letter to the Thesalonians is false. Of course, even the genuine letters could be tampered by disciples after the death of Paul. -

Need best info on why Jesus could never have chosen org in 1918?
by GodZoo inhi folks... i was playing a tiny online ipad multiplayer war game last night and one started a dialogue with a another player i was attacking.
in it he quoted a scripture.. and it turns out he he is a 25 year serving jw.
possibly an elder... well.. i spent 6 hours tapping away with one finger in the chat box until 8am this morning with him about all the issues on sex abuse, the money grab and most importantly the subject of jesus turning his attention to the earth and selecting the then bibles students as his one and only people based on what they were teaching (spiritual food) back then.. he knows nothing about any of the current and historic child sex abuse cases (never heard of candice conti etc) and even less about the insane early teachings or russell etc.. i completely blew his mind in our 6 hour text chat not to mention my index finger nearly falling off!.

No one saw Jesus coming between 1914 and 1919. Whatever, the Watchtower became more stupid after 1919. The Golden Age Magazine proclaimed that Vaccination was a thing of the Devil, and many believers were deceived by Rutherford through his false prophecy on 1925. Is this what Jesus wanted?? Well, may be, because Christianity is a mess since its creation. -

Here we have a Paul's trick in his use of the Old Testament:
The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ. (Galatians 3:16)
Note that Paul is arguing that "sperma" (seed) can't be understood as a collective because it is a singular noun. However, this argument can easily be refuted by reading how "sperma" was used in Genesis 13:15-16.

Indeed Paul was a clever person who used common sense to treat some things like the issue of "food sacrificed to idols". Paul knew that Christianity would never grow if Christians had to follow all of what the Law demanded. However, he had to misquote the Hebrew Bible so as to sustain his theology.
