Had the C.O visit this week...went out on service and Wow
by MrsR-Awaken inthis is my first post here (not being comments) but i still have to tell my story but for that i need to get my mind together in other to give as much detail as possible to be able to share it.
will do in a future post.. anyway i had to share this.. so i went out on service this morning (i never do i always end up excusing myself because i hate field service) reason i did was to see what the new c.o had to say and he sure did say something.
he was saying what we had to present and he went over the watchtower magazine.

Fortunately, a few naive people in countries with internet will be currently deluded for a long time by the preaching work. Perhaps some persons will be deluded for some days by a private Bible study. However, after talking about the blood ban, and other Watchtower's bans, the student will do a research in internet and he or she will be surprised with the Watchtower scandals. So, the initial seduction will not produce a strong effect, unless the preacher be a beautiful girl, so the worldly student becomes permanently exited. -

S.A.D. Observations from the assembly.
by Darkknight757 inso we had brother losch visiting our special assembly day which was weird in itself.
he's not a very good speaker and seemed like he was in dire need of a nap or something.. anyways just a few observations from the assembly program.
theme: imitate their faith.

Losch gave, more than once, a talk in which he compared suicide attempt with university careers.
Losch represents the most radical and stupid line of the Jehovism.

Interesting post. Indeed, the changes are flowing frequently, so the Witnesses are confused. -

For those who read in Spanish, I wrote a commentary on Daniel's fraud:

Kepler: "But the notion that Daniel should keep silent about what he saw, heard or learned - I think you hit it on the head".
I noticed that after knowing that this book was an apocalyptic fraud (as all we have). Surely, this books was written in that time of trouble, when Antiochus' men were pressing the Jews for idolizing the Zeus' image in Jerusalen's temple. So, the author needed to write a story of a past hero so as to give comfort. He cleverly had to justify the appearance of this unknown book to his readers, so he had to create a scene where an angel told to Daniel for not revealing the visions before the time of the end. Thus, the readers would say: "Oh yes, this is why we couldn't have the manuscript before these events".
Interestingly, I was attracted firstly by the Watchtower literature after reading a green book of the 50s written by Fred Franz that interprets the book of Daniel. In this book, "the time of the end" was the events after 1914, but now I clearly see that this was Antiochus' time. Thus, catholic scholars admit it, but many evangelicals, as well as Adventists, insist that this was a future time. They even believe that the book was written in the sixth century.

However, Christianity has tried to shift that "time of the End" to more than 2000 years ahead. -

"But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” (Daniel 12:4)
The book pretended to have been written in the sixth century before Christ. However, most scholars admit that it was written during the Antiochus' persecution against the Jews about 164 BCE. So, the above verse was cleverly written to justify the appearance of a book which was unknown, although the author dishonestly lies by falsely foreseeing events of the Antiochus moment, as they were written in the sixth century.
Note also that the "time of the End" was the troubling time of the Antiochus persecution.

Ask them about the overlapping generation that will not pass. This consists of those current anointed ones who knew the 1914 generation of the Watchtower anointed ones. As has been explained by one of the members of the GB, if an anointed one met Fred Franz and is currently alive, he belongs to the overlapping generation that will not pass. Ask them where in the Bible we can get that absurdity. -

Did Jesus actually start a church to himself?
by TTWSYF inwith some 30,000 different christian denominations, how would one know which one was for real?
some folks think jesus did start a church, others think no.

I believe that Jesus was a Jewish leader of apocalyptic ideas, who was actually killed. However, 90% of what was written about him, is fiction, so we can admit that most of his personality is an invention to satisfy theological agendas. -

HIGHER EDUCATION, THE BIBLE, AND THE WTBTS / GBoJW
by Nicholaus Kopernicus inthe disdain which the wtbts / gbojw has for higher education is well known among jw's and jw dissenters.
the specious rationale for such disdain is also well known.
however, it is a fact that there is no scriptural authority for..... a) prohibiting education at any level for another person.

The elder of the last congregation I attended, said that those who go to the university are disloyal to Jehovah.
This stupid implicit Watchtower's ban is intended to minimize the number of thinkers in the congregations.
The university does not ensure success, but it instructs the student to think and to analyse information.
