Gerrit Losch ( a governing body member) was asked to declare about the Watchtower, but he said that he has nothing to do with the Watchtower, because he leads the Jehovah's Witnesses. Of course, this is a lie, but as I see, the dubs are using the same tactic.

Using the term "Watchtower" when talking to a JW
by Sanchy inhas anyone else noticed how alarm bells go off inside a jw mind as soon as they hear someone that "is out" refer to the leaders of this org as "watchtower"?
i've chatted with a few friends now about my doubts and each and every time i've started using phrases such as "watchtower said this" or "watchtower did that", i can almost see their heads about to explode in anger, as if they've just realized they are talking to the lucifer himself.
some have even interrupted and corrected me by reminding me that it's not "watchtower", it's "god's organization".

My sister was accused of apostasy by the elders and they asked her to attend a judicial hearing, however, she asked them a formal letter specifying the charge so as to attend the judicial hearing with her attorney. Nevertheless, the elders did not want to do anything in writing. After some years, they disfellowshipped her by phone, but they always avoided to put something in writing.

They are knocking the door (llaman a la puerta)
by opusdei1972 inin the 90s, a peruvian rock band composed a song called "llaman a la puerta" (they are knocking the door) related to the door to door service.
i confess that once i knocked a door in field service and the kids there started to sing the song.
i have translated the lyric:.

Quién será?

Son un par de mongos

No les habras, no
(don't open the door, DO NOT)
Hablan como gringos
(they speak like gringows)
No descansan ni el domingo
(they don't rest even on sunday)
Siempre el mismo rollo: salvación
(always the same stuff: salvation)
Folosofía de pollo
(it's philosphy of chicken)
siempre el mismo disco
(the same tape(disk) as always)
más rayado que un disco
(more streaked than a disk)
No me dejan descansar
(they don't let me rest)
No me dejan trabajar
(they don't let me work) -

The 1914 doctrine: How long it will last?
by opusdei1972 inone hundred years have passed and the society still supports this lie, which of course, is the basis of their other lies, like that of the unfaithful and not discreet slave appointed in 1919. however, i wonder, what will happen after 50 years, when the overlapped generation will pass?.
and if you want, what will happen with this religion in 2100?, could it survive with the same lie??
?.

Lets be honest we will never expose the danger to the world of JW.org
by James Mixon ini thought, ok the case in australia would open the eyes of the world about this dangerous cult.. well that passed without a ripple.
we talk about the un and the wt link, none jw's don't.
understand the significance.

I think that films like this can produce a great impact in people who ignore the witness' cult:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worlds_Apart_(2008_film)
So, I think that ex-witnesses could do an effort in influencing film producers with stories exposing the Watchtower Society.

The fact is that Jehovah's Witnesses are nothing in this world. They are seen as strange people or fanatics. Only those who were involved with them know about the true problem with them. As far as I know, Evangelicals are a little bit concerned with Witnesses on account of the Trinity issue and other doctrinal debates. The rest of the people ignore them. In spite of this, we have to continue to expose this lunatic religion.
Don't give up, the force be with you.

The Real Reason why the WT predicted Armageddon in 1975
by OrphanCrow ini am of the opinion that the wt doctrine is influenced more by external factors that it is by internal ones.
one of the doctrines that has puzzled me for some time is the armageddon prediction of 1975. why would the wts make this prediction?
what was their real purpose?.
-
opusdei1972
May be yes, and may be no. However, it is not impossible that Freddy created his lunatic prediction for corporative purposes. For instance, according to Edmond Gruss:
"After the Judge's death, as World War II was ending and persecution against the Witnesses began declining, along with the attendant drop in news-media publicity, Hayden C. Covington told the author [of THE FOUR PRESIDENTS] that Fred Franz saw the prohibition against blood transfusions as a way to accomplish two things: to continue to publicize the religion, and to create an uproar in the community. This reaction would convince the membership they were being "persecuted" and "suffering for righteousness sake," a sure sign they were "in the truth." (The Four Presidents of the Watchtower Society)

Did the flood happen?
by BlackWolf inso we were talking about noah for our family worship tonight and it ended with a little debate between me and my parents about how the flood was possible.
you know, where did the water come from, how did all the animals fit, etc.
of course it led nowhere and my parents came up with some strange theories like that there was "an expanse of water in the sky" and that's where all the water came from.

May be a past local flood inspired the story in ancient Mesopotamia, but surely, the Jewish scribes tampered it in favor to their own theological agenda. We currently have many local floods in the world, however a global flood as told in the Bible did not happen, otherwise no one flesh would exist today. Furthermore, according to the Bible a global flood happened around 2300 before Christ, which could not justify today the existence of the diversity of species in the Amazon Jungle ( for instance). There are many flaws in that story to be true.

The most amazing pharoah in history yet he's not even mention in the bible!
by Crazyguy inhis name was unas, he started his rule in 2375 bce .
some how he found out about noah and his ark and i'm thinking around the year 2371 he travel to northern mesopotamia to get on the ark.
(wt says the flood happened 2370-2369 bce) either he bribed noah (since gods covenant was only for noah and his family) or he hid away on the ark.

The Noah's ark account is a fiction taken and tempered from Babylon.
