Spinks ending with emphasising that they're fruitloops but unable to see what an easy way out the commission is offering them on some fundamental issues. The commission seems to be offering them a way just to report to the police, to accept different forms of evidence (which would only be available in proper legal process itself) and so they get their scriptural kicks and children are better protected because to get those extra witnesses elders would need to go to the police. But, no. "We go to prison because the gibbering idiots in Brooklyn decide something, until they decide otherwise".
