  Roll call of those of us stuck in for our spouse or whos spouse is still in!

  i just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.

  also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.

  i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.

  I don't completely fit your description as I have never been in. However my wife was born in and I have only starting sharing TTATT. So far she get defensive or ignores me. Up until recently I thought the JWs had some issues but once I really got into it I realized she needs out for her and for our kids.

  My plan going forward is to take it slow. I could just show her all the information tomorrow but that would overload her and she would just be defensive. I have many topics but I want to be able to have new stuff to show two years from now if its still needed. I guess you could start by finding an old WT that shows one lie to begin with and share your feelings about her like you did in this post. Then every once in awhile come across another WT that bothers you and so on. I may not have really good answers. I am just starting on this myself.

  why does the NWT refer to christ as the christ. to me this is taking away his Sovereignty

  it just kills me when i look at the scriptures in the nwt and alot of times when it refers to jesus christ it says the christ.

  Any chance of someone starting a 'why i hate Focus' thread, a 'why his information isn't good' thread, or even PM privately. This thread about Russel is 3+ pages of arguing. I wouldn't mind learning more about Russel and hope to find the information here. I will do what I can to verify the information then on my own. Just a thought of mine anyway not that anyone really cares.

  I notice when I come across Yahoo answers where someone asks about JWs the same JWs are normally the ones defending the .org. It might be a good idea to have a thread where people could post the most current yahoo questions so that people from this site can share TTATT each time. Just a thought...

  Anyone have archives of talks like "stay alive till 75?"

  i was curious if anyone knew how to listen to talks like sinutkos stay alive to 75, or fred franz talk about how there was no 1st century gb.. i can listen to them on youtube but they are on obviously apostate youtube channels.

  i would like for my wife to hear them but cant do that on apostate youtube channels.. does anyone know if these talks are available in an online archive somewhere else?.

  I think 1975 is important to talk about. My wife never heard of it until I mentioned it to her only a couple months ago. She asked grandma about it and she gave the post 1975 excuse that it was a few members getting excited and they were kicked out for it. I then show her the articles and other proof that grandma is not telling the truth. Since then silence on the subject but now she knows. There are others that are just like her that still haven't heard.

  Your thoughts on demons, ghosts and spirits

  as a jw were taught all about demons but i never had an incident.

  my wife believes wholeheartedly says her family including her has had problems with them.

  i have met people that even non religious people that say they have experienced a ghost or a spirit.

  Before I started taking a slower more caring approach with my wife, I told her that there are demons and they are not where she thinks they are but rather make up the GB. Any group that can knowingly deceive so many people would have to be.
