  i am sorry for the title but today just took the cake.

  after not going to the meetings since august and trying to sort through this with my family, my wife today told me she wants to separate because of our differences over being a witness or not.. this is ridiculous.

  so i said- how can you separate from me when the religion you whole heartedly believe says you can only separate for 3 reasons- abuse, willful non-support, or stopping her from her meeting attendance, etc.

  Sorry to hear...This is something that may happen to me sooner or later. Also, just like you have shown her what the WT says about her actions I have shown my wife things from the WT that she isn't doing. If I am the one to point it out however then it is in one ear and out the other.

  Will JW rape victims die at Armageddon as apostates?

  many jw victims flee the "truth" after elders have raped them and covered it up.

  doctrines aside, there would be no reason for one of these young victims to conclude the watchtower environment is god's arrangement on earth.. does the organization acknowledge this irreparable damage or will it write these victims off as apostates, slated for death at armageddon if they choose to get the hell out?.

  the articles are definately an interesting read.

  they give plenty of bad advise as usual.

  I think I am in a similar situation as you Crazyguy. She ignores and doens't remember anything I say. She won't even answer any questions I ask. Very frustrating.....

  Kid charged over $500 to a game

  yesterday, i got our credit card statement, and looked at the charges.

  over $500 to itunes.

  questioned everyone, and it's for "jewels" for a kim kardashian game my 13 year old charged.

  i give the kids an allowance to teach them about money. They can earn more by doing more. They then split it up into spending, charity, and savings. I never really thought kids should get money but it seems that very few know how it works and I want them to be included in that few. I also no longer use credit cards and have paid them all off. I hope they learn from example on that one and never get into credit card trouble.

  it never fails.....seems like someone on here or another forum comes up with some new catchy, sarcastic word to describe something in jwdubland that is messed up or funny.

  examples include: kingdumb hall, asleep!, watchtards, kingdum misery, field serve-us, booze rutherford, jdubs, etc.

  the most famous of these of course would be, "ttatt", or, "the truth about the truth.".

  does anyone know how to modify my profile here?.

  i see my picture appears, which is my picture from gravatar.

  i do not want to remove my gravatar picture because i am registered on some sites where i want to have my picture, so i imagine if i would change my e-mail adress, that would delete my pic, but where can i modify my profile?

  while you are sitting there reading this, there are literally hundreds of thousands of young males and females all over the world [ mostly in america / canada and england] sitting in their grotty little smelly bedrooms or flats, designing computer viruses that they will up-load onto web-sites to cause anonymous innocent peoples computers to malfunction.

  these creeps spend literally weeks,months or even years hoping to make a computer viruses that will get into peoples computer bios to completely destroy their computers.

  they never see the peoples anger, frustration and distress.... the damage can cost each person about 1,000 [ $1,660.74 ] or more to replace a basic new laptop or tower.

  Corpus Linguistics - Text Analysis of All Watchtower Publications since 1800's

  i've been working on a side project for a while.

  the goal of the project is to create a comprehensive database of all publications throughout history.

  with this database i will be able to instantly find trends in text,sentiment of writing, methods used, and scriptures emphasized.. essentially i will be able to put a word like "apostate" into my tool, and instantly receive a report showing every time the word (or similar words) has been used in all publications since 1870.. i will also be able to create reports showing word density used in publications over time.. so i'll be able to see that the word "governing body" has increased in usage 25% year over year since 1975.. or i will be able to analyze the november 2014 wt and run an algorithm that helps to determine, what the tone and motive of the writing is.. the thing that i am most excited about is the ability to instantly find every occurence of a scripture in every publication.. this will be a great tool to find flip flops in doctrine as well as inaccuracies in biblical interpretation.. i will for sure publish all interesting findings here.. .

  My wife takes some kind of natural sleep aid that seems to do good. The back of the bottle, if I remember correctly, said valerian root.
