Good post. All that we hold dear in this world is being stripped from us emotionally to see our true heart condition in a sense stolen right from under our noses

God Says Scripture is Enough
by Perry infrom the 2013 new world translation 2 tim.
all scripture is inspired of god and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, so that the man of god may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.. .
as jw's we must have read that scripture a thousand times.

Yes unfortunatley many think you cna earn your way to being declared righteous. Attending meetings etc is not works. It is the work going onin the heart believers will be declared righteous. The churches keep believers from entering into the fullness of Christ and enjoying the fruit of the spirt by enslaving its followers to man. The Kingdom is within not without and the true church cannot be seen or touched, not made by human hands, it is this that believers have to enter into. THe false shepherds scatter the flock where the true Shephard the Messiah gathers

The problem is Perry we have been conditioned by the churches that works is what is required and the more we do works the more we sin. We are under Gods grace and we ourselves have to accept that we will always be sinner suntil we die. But from that grace we can draw closer to God , he dwells within us and he patiently waits for us to surrender all tohim, he himself will free us form the self condemnation of sin to realise no matter what he will forgive us so we can walk in freedom without that burden on us . He accepts us for who we are, do we accept ourselves. Walking in that freedom allows love to grow and the desire to sin diminishes. THe only works that are required are to live a life of mercy towards others and for the fruit of the spirit within to grow and develop so it flows likea river. You cant get that from going to church and following doctrines and dogma

Been asked to share my experience at church!!
by quellycatface inmy vicar asked me if i and another lady would like to say a few words about our faith journey.. she said my story was a particular powerful one, what with the da'ing and subsequent shunning.
i can also choose a hymn or christian song.. i was thinking of romans 8:38, 39 to highlight the shunning and the other scripture ne of how true christians will be indentified, if they have love among themselves etc.
i need to look that one up exactly.. any ideas for content for further content??.

I approcah them in the street not the other way round and share the love of Christ. Thats it i never throw their teachings in their face. I talk about Christ who lives in all beleivers and cannot be found in anything made with human hands or with bricks and ,mortar. We always have great discussion, i think i have appraoched about 6 altogether

1914 real generation vs Watchtower "this generation".
by tenene ini know it has been discussed a number of times on this forum, but this issue is so complicated and almost impossible to understand.
what is a generation in real terms?
watchtower spin doctors managed to buy this organization another 100 years of existence/business just by playing around with this word..

The Generation Messiah was talking about was the very generation he lived in. The Prphecies he gave to those standing in front of him were about what was going to happen in their lifetime and it did. Jerusalem, the tmeple and the old testament were all destroyed in that generation or time period. SO the question is do we beleive what the Messiah said when he told those who asked the question " truly i tell you, some of you standing here will not die when i return in my kingdom". For me i beleive Messiah over man and religion and beleive he did what he said he would do and came back for them ( the first centruy beleivers) (the second coming). The delusion of mankind since then is that it is always coming in the future

When people Worship the Bible Over God.
by objectivetruth in"worthy, therefore, of rejection is every one who is willing so much as to hear anything against the monarchy of god; but if any one dares to hear anything against god, as trusting in the scriptures, let him first of all consider with me that if any one, as he pleases, form a dogma agreeable to himself, and then carefully search the scriptures, he will be able to produce many testimonies from them in favour of the dogma that he has formed.
how, then, can confidence be placed in them against god, when what every man wishes is found in them?".

Interesting way of looking at it. I agree the bible is an idol for some people. Instead of knowing the God it speaks about. Im a Christian but hardly read the bible except for reminders of stuff i forgot. Most of it is already in my mind . For beleivers Christ dwells within and he himself leads a beleiver into all truth I see the bible as The Historical Testimony about Jesus Christ and because of what he did can have the confidence in his life death and resurrection

Religion vs the gospel
by Fernando inour family's journey out of the watchtower has led us to see the gospel as the antithesis or exact opposite of religion.. for us religion is men telling us what to believe and do (to control us).. for us the gospel is god telling us what he has done (to liberate us from such men).. how have you come to see the relationship between religion and the gospel?.

FOllowers of Christ need to seperate the historical Messiah to the one now living and who dwells within. The historical testimony of him testifies what happened in the 1st century. Because of this he dwells in us . It does not require a church as the true church cannot be seen or touched and not made with human hands and each one who seeks him and him alone will be taught by him alone and have no need for anyone to teach them anything.Mans mistake is to think they can find him in a church.Look within.
