  Great article about intelligent design in science without being religious

  for those who think that belief or the possibility of intelligent design means you must accept or believe everything or anything you have heard about god or a god is incorrect.

  i'll quote one line from the article, " but intelligent design, unlike creationism, is not based upon the bible.

  design is an inference from biological data, not a deduction from religious authority.

  There is no need to give up and invoke the supernatural, just keep digging for the reasons why we observe such wonders around us.

  i recently found out, "randomly ," via the internet that my grandmother passed.

  since i wasn't afforded the opportunity to attend the memorial service, i'm working on an in memoriam blog post about her.

  i'm wondering if anyone has a link, or knows a site, that would have old gilead grad photos?

  I haven't been able to find any photos online of that graduating class. This was the class that was mentioned in The Watchtower March 1, 1944 pg 78-80.

  Is disfellowshipping as popular as it was years ago?

  i seldom hear of people getting df'd anymore.

  years ago it seemed there were a few per year in a congregation.

  We had 2 teenagers DF'd just a few months ago. Another 2-3 dodged the bullet, barely. The "bullet" hit young adults in other halls.

  Here's one I just randomly wrote.

  In moments of wistful reflection,

  When one thinks of loves that could have been,

  My thoughts often turn to this family of mine,

  Turned shadows, echos of minds once so keen.

  They (in another life) would have been your healers,

  Some would have read law,

  Others would have been artists-

  Had they not shut-out the colors they saw.

  I count myself among them,

  A tragedy of youth misspent.

  Lives handed over to a fantasy,

  of this I do truly repent.

  I found it odd that he said that they had been SINGING this. Does anyone know if there is some significance to this? Are they trying to phrase thins in a way that would be technically correct but misleading?

  andrea montgomery was found guilty as charged on each of the 6 charges of child rape of her biological son, alan von webb, the oldest boy of four children.

  today, many media people were there in the courtroom for the first time since the trial started.. the verdict came in about 3:30 p.m. which took time for the judge to read, etc., so i learned about it at 4 p.m. when the father of the four children, now young adults, called us.

  one of the children has down's syndrome, and it's difficult to imagine, but he also was raped since a child by his mother.
