okay, tonight someone told me that one of the elders actually addressed the child sex abuse cases at the weeknight meeting this past week.
she said the speaker said that accusations are being made against the truth but that they should stand firm in the truth and that they are going to continue fighting these allegations and that all should stand firm for jehovah or some similar comments.... did anyone else hear this from the stage?.

When the Panorama expose was shown (2002) I was still in and I seem to remember the congregation being warned that it was a satanic attack and that we shouldn't view it.

Although correct, the use of 'pressurized' irritates me as in: Mr Smith was pressurized into declining the offer' - I always think of a tyre being pumped up.

with the recent case of the watchtower hierarchy defying the court to either produce documents relating to child sex abuse claims within their organisation, and also refusing to produce a governing member to appear in court to answer questions , not only shows their arrogance and defiance of the law , they also show their contempt of the judicial system of the usa .. arent they supposed to be obeying the bible injunction ?

Used by politicians to squirm out of a difficult situation whilst they befuddle the listener/questioner.

I agree with you, cofty, JWs don't know the first thing about evolution. The Society, willfully it seems, consistently confuse evolution with abiogenesis.
