Considering the amount of nonsense consistently printed in the Watchtower, how about 'I Am The Walrus' by The Beatles?
were they pretty much a good group of men?
we're they jerks?.
I must be honest - at least half of the elders were decent, moderate, honest and good-hearted men.
There were also one or two lunatics - one elder gave my mate a serious b*ll*cking because he had the audacity to grow a neat goatee and turn up for field service.

Talkin' about what might have been,
I'm thinkin' about what it used to be.

And your smile is a thin disguise ...

This is not a new problem, the problems go back more than 1000 years - yes indeed. Islam has been shedding blood on and off since its birth. The prophet Muhammad turned the Mecca into a strict monoculture in a matter of decades - I guess he didn't 'value diversity' or 'embrace multiculturalism'
