  Seeing as I am not Simon, I'm LUHE, I'll give you my thoughts ...

  People who are vulnerable to the virus should be top priority - so, I'm talking about elderly people, people who have underlying health issues, people who have immunity problems, and people who are HIV+. These people need to isolate themselves and/or have special attention focused on them.

  Everyone else should get on with life, and should be trusted to act sensibly. First off, no closure of schools. Second, no arbitrary wearing of face masks at all, no arbitrary 2 meter rule, etc. Enough of the nanny state - people should be trusted to act responsibly without Government sticking their noses into people's affairs. So, no rule of 6 people limit to family gatherings this xmas (yes, we Brits have these British politicians coming out with this crap!).

  prince harry and meghan markle, the duke and duchess of sussex, have stepped back from royal duties and moved to an exclusive enclave of california and into a £11 million mansion (i guess they're slumming it, lol).

  they have recently made several pod casts, featuring themselves pontificating on a range of subjects - blm, 'structural racism', the environment, etc.. while they're free to make whatever content they wish, it does seem ridiculous.. why should i treat harry or meghan seriously?.

  Take Meghan. She has married into one of the whitest, most privileged families in the world. She lives in an enormous mansion with her ginger prince whitey. She has a white father and is therefore half-white herself. <---- conclusion: Meghan has white privilege. ;)

  Harry himself spoke about 'structural racism', saying how weird it is to walk into a shop and see only white dolls. Well, we in the UK used to have black dolls, too. #BringBackTheGolliwog.

  Some self-awareness on their part is clearly sorely needed, lol.

  we may have real differences on politics, religion or life but we should never rejoice that someone has gotten an illness simply because we don’t see eye to eye with them.. there are people here that i have differences with but i would never wish them i’ll health or worse, death.👎.

  Regarding Thatcher I remember that. It’s a lefty thing I guess - well, it seems more common on the Left.

  Some on the Right do it, too. I remember Tory MPs (right-wingers) singing 'Ha - ang, Nelson Mandela!'

  The issue with the OP is that it adds no context to Trump's words.

  Yes, taken in isolation, Trump refusing to leave office if he's voted out is very bad.

  But the context of this is that there are legitimate concerns that Democrats will use postal votes to commit voting fraud.

  i was reading through this site the other day and came across several posts by different posters lamenting this site, saying what a shame it has gone from debating jw believers to talking politics and current affairs.. there are a few issues i have with these kind of posts.. first, discussing politics is actually a good thing.

  well, in case you haven't noticed, we in the west are going through a culture war.

  certain groups of far-leftists are trying - and sometimes succeeding - to shut down free discussion.

  What makes this arrest illegal? - it's titled 'illegal' because it was posted by free inhabitant enthusiasts who actually think the young lady in the vid was treated badly.

  As it was, the cop stopped the young lady and her boyfriend, asking for a driver's license. The man didn't have one, neither did the girl. The girl claimed she didn't need one because she claimed to be a 'free inhabitant', using some centuries-old Confederate law. The cop wasn't having it and wanted to tow the vehicle.

  The girl initially refused to leave the vehicle, then exited the vehicle but refused to comply with the cop (at one point, she even screamed 'rape!', lol).

  The cop was pretty patient with her and gave her lots of chances to act like a mature adult.
