  Does Scotland have its own parliament? - Scotland has a devolved parliament, granted by Westminster.

  The Scottish electorate voted to remain within the UK in 2014.

  The devolved parliament isn't enough for the Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP), who want to leave the UK and then re-join the EU (some 'independence', eh, they just want to trade one political union for another).

  As it stands, tax-payers south of the Scottish border pay Scottish students' university fees and free eye care for all Scots north of the border.

  Yet the SNP aren't happy with this arrangement.

  They'd rather disrespect the 2014 IndyRef result and have Scotland leave the UK, then put another EU membership referendum to the Scottish electorate, re-join the EU and become the EU's dumping ground for lots of third-world immigrants, legal and illegal. <--- weird, huh?

  The SNP are treating the Scottish electorate as if they were a bunch of school children. It's actually rather pathetic.

  Scottish people are better than that - they are grown adults who recognise that choices and votes have consequences.

  They understand that the 2014 result must be respected for the time being.

  Hold Scotland hostage long enough - Lol

  Scotland isn't being held hostage. The SNP and other anti-English tossers need to respect the 2014 IndyRef result, it's as simple as that.

  BTW how do we know if the SNP will respect a second IndyRef result if it goes against them for a second time? (they're not respecting the first)

  @SBF - well, let's exercise some common sense ...

  Scotland chose to remain in the UK in a once-in-a-lifetime referendum five and a half years ago. This result must be respected.

  Anyone can clearly see that it's a bit too early to start talking about a second IndyRef right now.

  First of all, the UK must leave the EU, with all the trade stuff needing to be done and dusted ('Brexit').

  So, let's see ... the first IndyRef was in 2014.

  How about having a second one in 2025 or 2030? <--- this seems reasonable to me.

  Are you saying Scotland is not allowed to change its mind? - at the moment, Scotland (actually the SNP) needs to respect and live by the result of IndyRef 2014.

  The Scots are allowed to change their minds in the future - just not right now.

  All the BBC have to do is write good episodes featuring well-written characters. The rest will take care of itself.

  Whether a character is LGBT or not is a secondary consideration (or should be).

  What people don't like is script writers putting a box-ticking character above the important things: a good plot, engaging characters, etc.

  How long can they deny Scotland has the right to determine its own future. Do they seriously intend to keep Scotland in the UK against its will?

  ^^^ *sigh*

  We've been through this point several times previously.

  Scotland is in the UK due to its will - voting Remain in IndyRef 2014.

  Boris Johnson and his Tory government are respecting that IndyRef result. Boris, the UK Prime Minister, also has a democratic mandate to deliver on the withdrawal of the UK from the EU, which he's getting on with.

  it occurs to me the gb probably dont have much experience when it comes (!

  ) to marital sex guidance, so i think its only fair and reasonable we should put together a few hints to help them publish a suitable guide.. it is well known a lot of jw's get married in order to have sex, and all to frequently the marriages fail, possibly due to sexual problems, so the watchtower guide to sex should prove to be very worthwhile.. any jw courting couple intending to get married should be allowed to have a copy of the guide, and should only be available by a special order through the body of elders.. copies are not available to any single bros and sisters.. all and any advice in it must adhere to bible principles, and certainly no salty language or smut will be allowed.. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.

  so--to get this started--and in no particular order--here is my first suggestion:.

  ^^^ Would be rape (enforcing).

  WTF is wrong with the WTS? Jeez!

  Any sexual act that is forced or enforced is rape/abuse/coercion.

  Adult couples (married or not) can decide for themselves what they want to do in private.
