Nurses are unwilling to take the COVID-19 Vaccine
by adjusted knowledge ini work at two separate hospitals and most of the rns i work with have stated they won't take the vaccine.
i've read a report that 1/3 of rns will refuse the vaccine.
for those in other countries do you see this being an issue or is it more an american phenomenon?.

The Mysterious Missing Islam.....
by snare&racket ini've discussed this before but not in this context alone.. i remember being about 14 years old, 1994 and starting a study in the uk with a charming muslim from the congo.
he was a very pleasant middle aged guy with a big family, two wives, always the most hospitable.
at the time the watchtower had a book on many religions, a thick red book called 'mankind's search for god' so i would read and discuss the section on islam with him.. interestingly, but not surprising, many details they had were wrong about islam and he would explain how and correct me.

why was is Islam, the fastest growing religion, missing from JW doctrine? - because some Muslims react extremely violently when their religion is disrespected. A glossy little brochure from the WTS arguing against Muhammad's teachings would certainly fall into this category.
Although having said this, I'm not entirely convinced of it. I had a conversation with a young JW when I was waking up. And this brother was defending Islam - he said, and I quote, 'they believe the same as us'. I tried to reason with him, saying although they reject some doctrines JWs do (e.g. Trinity, idol worship), they have beliefs of their own (e.g. Muhammad was the last prophet of God).
He couldn't see the point I was trying to make - it was like banging my head against a brick wall, lol.

Dumb Elders

sometimes i would wonder why they remained as elders or even witnesses because they were successful men who made a good living and were highly respected because of their qualities.. that is a rather small group.
most elders that i know of aren’t the brightest bulbs in the sky.

Ok, my friend's dad was an elder. I'll share a quick anecdote about him and then you can decide whether he was dumb or not, lol.
So, my mate's elder dad believed that gay men inserted tampons into their rectum because all that anal sex made them incontinent. He didn't think this happened to just one or two gay men who went sex-crazy ... he believed this was a typical thing that affected the gay community.
So, was he dumb? Er, yeah, I'd say so, lol.

I think it will be an issue in other countries, too.
And, whether it's a good or a bad idea to refuse the COVID vaccine, I don't think people should be forced to take it. Do we force people to take a flu jab?

Interesting thread.
One point that I think is worth keeping in mind is that it just isn't possible to eliminate guns and other lethal weapons entirely, and I don't think Americans will give their up.
Hence, guns and other weapons do need sensible regulation.
