Thank you all for the great wellcome and I am so glad to be free of the cult. We can make a huge difference by continually highlighting the inequities (jw speak!) of this rotten cult. I wish all the very best that real life has to offer, it is brilliant to see so many young people wake up.

Pedophile Elder in jail gets reinstated
by Trapped in JW land inthere was a brother in my congregation who was an elder.
he got disfellowshipped about two years ago for looking at child porn and also trying to meet up with a thirteen year old boy online.
he was also arrested soon after this.

Why am I not surprised at this! Watchtower see themselves as above the law and obceneties like this are proof that they do not care about children. They will remove someone for smoking or not agreeing with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Yet henious crimes are ignored, so rampant child abuse is fine in their twisted mentality. But this can not go on for much longer, at least I sincerely hope so. Surely by highliting this in the media and on line legal action will have to be taken. When you consider the number of JWs that were left to die because of being coerced in to not having blood transfusions it is harrowing reading. I do believe that watchtower will be the next cult to dissapear as outside pressure mounts. Let us not forget that most cults crumble from within. Yes friends they would drink the Kool Aid. Propriety forbids me to write the words that I would like to use for watchtower.

Hi to everyone, my name is Jerry, I am 56 and I live in Tralee, Kerry Ireland. I will not bore you with the all too familiar details, suffice it to say I was a prime candidate for indoctrination/ brainwashing. The surprising aspect is that my wife, a staunch Catholic started a study soon after I did. We both were baptized at the same DC and I was sure I had the truth. After 11 years I became uneasy when I read an account of the early history of the cult. I woke up, I could see that CT Russell Judge Rutherford were crazy as loons and I let my deduction be known to an elder. Beth Sarim and 1914, 1925 and 1975 were explained away by said elder. I was not impressed and I told my wife that I was going to leave, I was sure she would follow after hearing my deep concerns. In May 2012 I sent in my letter of resignation which contained my reasons for leaving. Soon after the congregation was told that I had disasociated and that was that, or so I thought. In January 2013 my loving wife of 22 years bluntly told me to leave my home and my 3 children. One of my daughters joined the great crowd as I was making my exit, the family consensus was that dad was an apostate and the loving thing to do was to shun him. I have not heard a peep from my family since I left in January 2013. Just 3 months ago I found John Cedars website and it has led me here. Paedophillia, the UN years, shifting the goalposts so far that they are no longer in the ballpark, Rutherfords letter to Hitler but most of all the propaganda by the Brooklyn 7 (the Brooklyn Dodgers) all and more are there to be seen. Being an apostate and mentally diseased on top of shunning is now a matter of mirth to me. I am a sentient being capable of making my own decissions, I am free and I love it. I will never get involved in any religion again, I absolutely respect all ex JWs who have taken a new faith. I as you all know have only touched the tip of the ice berg, watchtower is a corrupt and highly dangerous sect They have made deception into an art and millions are still falling for it. If I have offended any ex JWs it was done in error, I hope I have offended watchtower. I am glad to have found this website and we all hope that the trickle leaving watchtower becomes a flood.
