Switching halls or actually moving helps you get lost in the shuffle.
Being "stumbled" helps.
i'm really interested in this question because i've heard for years that if you forgo further education and go pioneering, when you have a family down the track you will get a good job because jehovah will provide for you because you pioneered.
as long as i was a kool-aid drinker, even then, i thought, "how does pioneering pay your bills?
surely education should come first.
We are getting close to Social Security time and I am supporting the family because my elder husbands construction business went under in 2008. Believe me I strongly support my son getting an education!

I have a couple of cousins who simply moved out of the district and faded. No big drama. 20 years later they are still welcomed at all JW family functions.
some days ago two elders visited my sister because she has not been attending the meetings more than one year.
this time she prepared notes containing watchtower past teachings about the blood ban so as to ask them for those changes, and it seems that the elders were also prepared for her past questions.
for instance she showed them that "albumin" was considered "under scriptural ban" in 1956 (read the page 20 of awake, september 8).
My cousin is on a California HLC and he has quietly sugested to simply not share medical information with the congregation. Medical records are personal. Many HLC members now realize the Society is wrong.
so, what is the discipline, if any for a blood transfusion?.

i just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.
also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.
i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.
Kids and hubby....and LOTS of family...all in.
if you don't like being a jehovah's witness or going to the kingdom hall or the society then leave.... it's as simple as that... .
i left several years ago and have not been hounded, bothered or sought out by anyone.
i still see them from time to time, and yes, they do pour out the love bomb when you run into them, but eh, you know what?
If you have children, grandchildren and Elder husband and 100 JW family it isn't so easy......:(
if push came to shove and it was a showdown for loyalty to the organization or not following whatever decrees coming heir way, what percentage would remain loyal to the organization?
