Ex Bethelitepima Sorry, but they are not close friends of Tony, and not my friends. Distant out-of-state family of my "inactive" JW friend.

I would bet Tony and they are milking their "sick" story and keeping a very low profile with online meetings...pretend or real. Tony strikes me as a proud pompous person who would be quite humiliated right now. Probably in his easy chair today nursing his scotch and possibly teasing a grandchild.

I noticed new material on the "Official" JW site yesterday pertaining to avoiding over drinking......

( Over the years I have seen a number of ex-Bethelites and ex-Gilead washouts re-create themselves after being asked to leave as: "being re-assigned" for special duty. lol. :) )

Got a call this AM from an ex-JW with JW family in North Carolina who are acquaintances of Tony Morris's family.

Watchtower set Tony and his wife up in a condo on the outskirts of Fayetteville, North Carolina (location of Fort Bragg).

Tony's story is: "Left Bethel due to age and health issues with himself and his wife, and to be closer to his family".

Smart move on Watchtower's part to be the landlord. Few people bite the hand that feeds them. A lesson learned from harassing Ray Franz.

i have from a very reliable source that he attends one of the poughkeepsie ny congregations.

i think there are 5 congregations there might be worth paying a visit if anyone lives near there..

What is the last "official" view on ex-jws formerly known as "inactive"? Is it possible now to have been announced from the platform as "no longer a jw" (disassociated) and not know it? (no letter or call).

I was googling the plaintiffs tonight and came across the reason one of the Elders who were disfellowshipped could no longer be found.

WALTER ARLEN ST. CLAIR, the simple and sincere Elder who dared to question turning over the kingdom hall and congregation funds to Watchtower Corp.(and was disfellowshiped as a result), slipped from a roof while washing skylights at the age of 75, hit a walkway, and died.

"At 4:41 p.m. on November 2, 2020, Employee #1(Arlen) was packing up his gear and getting ready to depart the job site. The employee was an independent contractor hired by the homeowner to clean exterior skylights. The skylights were located on a slightly pitched wood shingle roof that had a height of nine feet from the eaves. The employee was working alone. A neighbor saw the employee lying unconscious on a walkway. The employee was located ten feet from the leading edge of the roof and not near his ladder. The employee was killed by blunt force trauma due to falling from the roof." -OSHA report. :( A sad ending for a sincere follower of Watchtower. No Obit.

Would I be disfellowshiped for this?

if a publisher openly told the elders that they thought the gb were wrong about some or a lot of things, but said they will not share these thoughts with anyone else then would this be a case of disassociation disgfellowship?.

my guess is lots of elders meetings and shepherding calls to try to get you to say something they could use against you.. but what would be the sin in which you are not repented?.

the only reason to be dissed is non repentance?.

In the last few years, in the US, some have been disfellowshipped in absentia. No meeting.

Apostasy. "Walking disorderly" . "causing divisions". "Jezebel influence"

If 2-3 Elders can ask you "the loyalty questions" in a roundabout way on the phone...even one on the line with a speakerphone (others listening in... or recorder), that is sufficient.

Simply keep your mouth shut...smile... and change the subject. Caller ID, and an answering machine works wonders.

hmm...if only we lived on the east coast we would drive by looking for his Cadillac in the Kingdom Hall parking lot....or the local high-end liquor store parking lot. :)

How to send Memorial greetings?

i have a friend who is a witness, and i wanted to send them a message on tuesday, but i'm not entirely sure what to say.

"happy memorial" doesn't seem quite right.

what are some appropriate greetings to send on the day of the memorial of jesus christ?.
