How would you summarize the basic message of the Watchtower versus the Bible?

for me personally:.

watchtower - don't sin, don't question, don't think, don't reason, don't leave, or god will kill you in hell the big a.. bible - all dysfunction aka the "bad news" has been legally defeated by the "good news".. (i believe we are therefore free to begin naturally and progressively transitioning from a primitive type-0 civilisation if and when we choose to and when consensus reaches critical mass.

we will become a more advanced type-1 civilisation in the next 100 years according to michio kaku in "physics of the future".).

Wow Juan. I understand a lot of people are deluded or just plain stupid.....but I am amazed by those comments.

Despite some inaccurate phrases, I think a NUMBER of JWS had some bells go off. You never know which straw will be the final one.

i know someone who has been at bethel 2.5 years as a temporary worker.

he recently recieved a 3 year extension through 2017. i read his letter.

he is being extended as a 3-year temporary worker, even though he's already been there nearly 3 years already!

some day far in the future, will we be looked upon as suffragettes who abolished cults with tenacity, courage and outspokenness?.

will future generations shudder at the backwardness of cultures that permitted cults to flourish, and not comprehend how this could have happened?.

will they be grateful for being spared death and suffering at the hands of cults because of what we are doing to expose them and reduce their growth?.

Unless we accomplish something great individually, we won't be remembered.

How many Puritans, Shakers, Pilgrims or Millerites have any of us met? How about the apostates or heritics who caused the eventual demise of these groups?

Unless the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses gets crazier than they have the last few years and go the route of Jim Jones, Warren Jeffs, or David Korsh...even they will be a historical footnote like Miller and the "Great Disappointment" of 1844.

Oh you mean WTBTS MEETINGS ! Well we were "stumbled"by theft of $$ by the WT Society and protection of pedophiles. Then turn on the WTBTS by saying:"When they release the Child Molester Database we will go back to meetings". And use it to tell a little TTAT.

what year was the blood liason commitee started and was it really put into place to help get ones to take blood, fractions and hemopure?

My impression of it at the time. (I was an elder).#1. Was to ENFORCE the No Blood rule (Many JWs were secretly taking blood). #2 Reduce the death rate of JWs by pushing fractions etc. just my 2cents.
