What are the differences between a HIT, a Unique Visitor and a Pageview?
The term “hit” (as in web hit/web site hits) is often used inaccurately. You might hear someone say that their website received ten thousand hits. But what does that mean? It might mean that their web site was visited by ten thousand people or maybe it was visited ten thousand times. But one person could visit a web site ten thousand times. Web servers logs and analytical tools consider a “hit” to be any request made for a file. (e.g. Every image that loads on your screen is a “hit.”) One web site visitor can easily trigger dozens of hits to web server. Unique Visitors
It’s not enough to measure how many visits/visitors your site receives because one person can visit a web site multiple time. Generally web traffic is discussed in terms of “unique visitors” over a period of time.Your web site could receive an average of 1000 unique visitors a day, but that doesn’t mean you have 30,000 (1000 x 30 days) unique visitors a month. Many of your visitors could be “return visitors” who frequent your web site a couple time a week. Web traffic logs/analytics can track how many unique visitors your web site receives in a day, week or month so you can better understand the nature of you web traffic.
Commercial websites Like Macys, Best Buy, Sears, Wal-Mart eBay and Amazon get from 18 million to 164 million Unique Visitors each month. If a site that got 18 million unique visitors monthly added up each month over two years, that would be a total of 432 million, assuming no person every visited twice. The numbers from Bethel, like all statistics from Bethel are inflated, to wow you, the numbers are distorted and half truths.
Unigue Visits are not "Hits" the WT is counting Hits and downloads. If, 7 million JW's, visiting jw.org , only ONCE a WEEK, is 28,000,000 a month or 672,000,000 visits by 7 million jw's going only ONCE a WEEK to the site over 24 months ?
But that does not count the number of PAGES they visit which multiplies the number of views recorded depending on their tracking software.

Give me a reason not to go back

Chukky594 - What exactly have you been DOING with your life for the past 10 years ? Did you develop new goals? Aquire a college eductaion, a skill set in the field that interests you ? Did you PLAN, anything ?
Life starts with a PLAN. An actual written plan. ORGANIZE yourself on a daily and weekly and monthly schedule towards a specific GOAL.
The WT and going to "meetings" gives you the idea you are organized, because they lay out the plan for you.
The PROBLEM is the WT "plan" leads nowhere. It is circular. Its dress up, underline the magazine, comment from the magazine, raise your hand, sit through the meeting, chat a bit afterward and go home and you have only the next meeting to look forward to.
There is a good documentary on Netflix called 'Shunning', about the Amish and those who try to leave. Its amazingly similar to the JW's. Watch it if you can. Its several people, men and women who leave and the struggle they have to move forward in the outside world.
A few succeed with goals and working towards a life plan and skills, one goes back, even though her prospects are bleak as an Amish "old maid" at 28. Its sad to see her put back on her 'costume' and go back to the rigid and tightly controlled, rule oriented, community with no freedom of choice.
My guess is, you came out and became an atheist ? Or said you were? But really you still believe every doctrine, and think they have the "truth" ?
You have not found a satisfying and financially rewarding occupation ?
You still work at some menial job ? You have not connected with others over similar interests ? People bond over their hobbies, or skill set, or recreaction. Artists go paint landscapes together. Musicians form groups and play together. Designers design together. Surfers surf together. People form groups to travel together.
You don't have to be on the outside looking in, or poor or unskilled or badly housed or in a bad relationship, you can change every single aspect of your life and it will be far more satisfying than what the JW's have to offer. Why ?
To JW's its all about life deferred, postponed, "When we get in the new world, then we will travel" "When the new system comes, then I will be an artist, or musician or have a nice house." Look around at JW's who are old, and poor, and living poorly, or on welfare or the dole or fake disabilty because their lives are a mess, but as a witness its OK because your REAL life is going to happen later, in the New World ? Right ? WRONG you will just die poor and forgotten like all old JW's do.

The other question is: WHO has the money ? There are only 300-500 members in the legal corporation who are shareholders, shareholders in what ? WHO owns the land ? WHO has access to the bank accounts ? Congregations were told to empty their bank accounts and send the money to the WT Society. Did these billions disappear into thin air ?
This is skulduggery, fraud and deception at a very high dollar amount. How do they claim tax exemption if they do no charititable works and how can they, if they claim they haven't a penny to their name.? What a web they are weaving for themselves. ( self propaganda does not qualify as "charity" )

inside the KH - do not give up hope Candice Conti won her case for 20 million and she is one single individual, multiply that by thousands and thousands of pedophiles who were never reported becaue the WT instructed the Elders in the Shepherd the Flock handbook not to report them and told the children, not to tell. Many Quakers do not believe in the Trinity either. Do your JW relatives even know that the so called "special knowledge" of the WT is borrowed from William Miller ? Seventh Day Adventists do not believe in Hellfire and neither do many other groups. Uniitarians do not believe in the Trinity or Hell. So are these groups then all acceptable to your JW relatives ? And the BONUS would be, none of the above named anti-Trinitarians, will cut off your head. Oh and don't forget the Jews, they do not believe in the Trinity, and they also will not cut off your head.

DO ask him why he was disfellowshipped. If he tells you he has seen that the "organization" is a Cult that should give you the courage to tell him your own timid fears. Don't tell him to go out and do stupid things like fornicate his brains out or take drugs and other "fun" things since that will drive him back in and will lead to all kinds of misery. How old is he? Is he living at home or on his own ? Encourage him to educate himself. Be honest. Try it, it will be a new experience for you.
