" (after 10 years) so i respond that the situation with pedophiles is out of hand.

they tell me "we" elders have received tons of training on the subject, its not like it was 10 years ago.

Is it common for old men to marry young JW?

i left in the 90's and marriage partners were similar in age at my former congregation.

i ran into a former jw friend from my childhood.

i haven't seen him in 15 years.

i have a real difficult time with a person marrying someone over ten years difference in age

. for one thing 20 years to me borderlines on perverted, pedifile ,behavior, cradle robbing, ect. and a female who goes after such an older man is not only mentally unbalanced to me, they have daddy issues. or caretaker issues.lol its just weird. i mean your 40 going after your daughters 20 yr old freind, ew . sorry.

so that now when these ones who marry such a gap in age, are 60 and still having some energy left, they are caretakers for a senior citizen and their married life is over..

why would anyone want such a generation gap?

imo, older men who go after young women in the org are no better than all the other men in the world who chase young women to boost their egos.lol

Just had a blow up with jw mom and she said the bible referenced angels being called gods, it that true?

long story short my mom was acting weird, snubbing me, when i tried bringing her grandkids to see her, so i tried again and this time i just went up and hugged her since she wouldn't hug me or acknowledge any affection.

when i released her i immediately saw her annoyed look and asked what?

bang, she unleashes a floodgate of how she's still mad at me for going to another church that believes the trinity.

I think somewhere in the letters to one of the congregations, there is a reference to angel worship.

perhaps she might be encouraged to show you all those scriptural references to these 'angelic stories'.

when i ask my mom to show me the scriptures she never does. she forgets our conversations by the next hour.

also would it make any difference if point out to her that not only do you not believe in a trinity, you also don't believe a lot of things that the book called the bible has in it, especially theirs, because its been imperfect men who have translated and copied the bible for centuries. If God was so able to preserve his word, then there would be only one bible. the fact that men keep rewriting it should be a red flag.

after al,l if the watchtower organization was correct in the first place they would have no reason to re do their bible translation would they? it would have been perfectly understandable from the get go, since they apparently were approved by Jesus 100 years ago. we don't fix it if its not broke right? lol

gee, maybe instead of that argument ask her where it is in the scriptures where its acceptable and normal for a mother to shun her own child what example is she teaching her grandchildren? what must they think of her behavior? is that what she wants them to remember of her when her time is up?

she is displaying no natural affection which is part of unrighteousness . family is gods arrangement, so if hes condoning tearing it apart by way of religious disagreements, hes contradicting himself. hmm scriptures anyone?

What I Learned Today

just thought i would share what i learned today sitting for several miserable hours at the circus assembly.. while i took "notes" i just cannot stand trying to type out all the details.

so suffice it to say the entire program can be covered with these few observations.. do more!

id like to know what the 'menu' was for the day.

in some of your notes notice a pattern of self importance by any chance? and by the mentioning of the governing body or faithful slave in the prayers?

i left after prayers often had ones saying 'and we thank the faithful slave for all our spiritual food..' and the constant mention of the group.

little if any mention of Jesus being the king, our leader ,our mediator, our example.

good way to reason that being discreet is lost on the leaders.

They're spying me on facebook

most of you have probably seen the apostasy trial video posted on youtube (and all over social media) recently.

well, there's a "wordly" woman from another country that i had worked with some time ago and she's posted it, tagged me, and asked "wtf?

", knowing i'm a still a jw just for family reasons.

yea facebook is a spy network, lol were not hiding anything on there. which is why mine is boring. juts photos i take, recipes, links to jokes and articles, yup boring. im not putting anything on there I wouldn't want the world to know,lol for me there is no one chasing me down for any explanation as to my absence , nor is my son, were just forgotten. that's ok by me, I barely notice the difference. id say get off facebook. just use private email. and never a cell phone.

wow, what area are you from? here where i live, the cong my mom goes to is all about the tablets, she barely carries a book bag anymore she was asking me where she can get a little purse to hold her tablet! years ago when i was still going out in sqirmish, I carried my purse, in it i put three magazines a few tracts and my bible in my hand and not a single person ever said a word to me.[

of course it was a 'fruitful' day if one person was home and took a magazine]

so these people who are making comments about book bags must be old , lol and clueless to the fact that people are not impressed by the amount of junk that someone carries around and cant use.

rules & regulations If I was there and heard that aid to you, lol, Id have certainly voiced my opinion, using scriptures, lol. and that would have been the end of it. [i know from experience how to end something]

all in agreement? worldwide harmony amongst the jws? I think not.
