  Going to meetings to "save face."

  going to make this short and sweet but i need some advise again and i kinda need to vent a bit so sorry.😢.

  so it has been weeks since the wife and i have been to meetings.

  it has been nothing short of wonderful!!!

  Every minute spent at a KH or JW event is time wasted.
  You cannot recover time lost.

  Freedom is valuable. People have sacrificed everything for the benefit of future generations.

  I'm getting to the point where I simply do not miss these people.If they approach me at sometime in the future I will certainly be there for them.

  The strange part is how much they fear us, those that reject the meetings and videos that are full of lies.

  They legitimately cannot understand why we are "rejecting the only hope for life". They are baffled. Then when asked what is the current message and hope, it's blank stares. How would you ever be able to 'research' using the WT library, since you never know what's the current understanding anymore. Every meeting has the potential for life altering changes.

  JWs give up everything for the Borg. Free time, personal goals, relationships, love of others, family and even their own life if required.
  ( rejecting life saving blood or preaching in very unsafe conditions to their demise. )

  You cannot be a JW if you do not regularly express your loyalty to the Governing Body.
  You also need to be mentally prepared to do anything they say:

  At that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.

  WTBTS vs. Islam

  the articles and meeting parts have been missing something all along, as far as i can see.. jws are taught to demonize all 'worldly' ( not jws) organizations, individuals and religions as having no value only to be destroyed by god at 'harm-you-gettin'-( armageddon ).. why do they not mention islam?no scathing denouncements?.

  the only publication i really remember, was the "mankind's search for god" book that touched on the beliefs and practices of muslims.. why do you think this is the case?.

  Thanks for the replies.

  I guess my point was, one cannot be a Muslim if they do not follow the leadership ( ones that claim to have the market cornered on Muhammad ). They have figured out a way to fool some members into killing themselves and others for Allah with a everlasting reward in view.

  Are Witnesses really "Bible Students"?

  we were always told that as witnesses we were "sincere bible students".... carefully examining the scriptures.. yes, we were indeed taught much about the content of the bible, it's history, prophecies etc..... but it was always from one perspective....that of the society.

  when the society changed its interpretations, we had to do the same..... so were we really "bible students", or "society students"?.

  just a thought.....

  In my old hall in Napa, Ca, they would always introduce the weekly Watchtower study as our "Bible study with the aid of the Watchtower".

  Of course we all know it is not a study at all.
  No questions or alternate views are ever entertained.
  In fact, have you ever been at the meeting when a non-JW ( worldly ) person would bring up something in opposition to the lesson.

  Snickering from the congregation and an invitation for the commentor to speak with them after the lesson was the norm.

  The weekly WT "lesson" is cult indoctrination plain and simple.

  ok, i am not now, nor will i ever be a jw.

  so ive been with my gf for over a year now and she has finally woke up to how destructive the cult was to her!

  she turned to it more and had private tutors?

  Can you even imagine a class action lawsuit against WT for human rights violations and religious abuse?

  When the courts find out they DF their children ( under 18 ) that have been sequestered from society and subjected to poorly prepared 'home-schooling' and left with no support and homeless, that might get some attention.

  They will wish it was just the pedophile lawsuits that are threatening their cash.

  This could be it!

  a spouse that is fully brain doogled in and you are awake to ttatt.. without going into serious detail and no names are given.

  i would like to possible talk with one of you all, it's just so helpful to communicate with someone in the same situation as me.. i am located in the southwest united states..

  She has a "wait and see attitude". Or "Waiting on Jehovah"

  Which I assume, is waiting for the GB to admit that they are wrong and all DA themselves before she can envision not following them...

  what do you think is the main reason why so many young ones are waking up?

  seems as though the number of baptisms even for the young ones is down from what people report here.

  at my former hall the young ones are all in totally sheltered even while going to school.

  expressing thier desires to pioneer etc.

  I believe it is two part, with the internet being the top reason.
  ( TTATT is always just a click away )

  Second, is the sheer embarrassment of admitting to being a JW to any non-JW.

  It's like openly declaring that evidence is of no importance to them and a life of blatant ignorance and blind trust is preferred.

  When you are unable to defend, question, explain or have pride in your faith, it's all over.

  When I was still a JW, no fellow JWs ever talked about Islam.
  It was some foreign-mystery religion that nobody knew about...Just that they are part of Babylon the Great.

  Islam, in my opinion, represents total evil.

  It's the 'King of the Cults'.

  If one does not support Sharia Law being spread earth wide and does not believe that Muhammad was the best example on how to live, he is not a Muslim. Plain and simple.

  ( they KILL apostates )

  If one does not support Jehovah's Kingdom being spread earth wide and does not believe that the Governing Body is the best example on how to live, he is not a JW. Plain and simple.

  ( they'd like to KILL apostates )
