Is it OK to just say, "we don't want a visit. No thank you?"

Elder wants to stop by with the CO for a visit .
by NikL inso i got a text from an elder who i consider one of the good guys and a friend in his own way.. he asked if he could bring the co by for a visit.
he said it would be "just a pleasant call and visit and will hopefully encourage my wife".
he says that "he knows she is dealing with a ton of pressure".. in all my years around the organization, i never had a visit from the circuit overseer.

Lunch today with.. JW step father....
by raven init has been a while since i've posted, i think its because i have finally gotten some peace and quiet as far as harassment from the jw elders.. my step father, the one who reported me to the elder police for a sinful act invited me to lunch today.. it has been almost a year since the incident, we have talked here and there, it has been just casual though.
he says he is in town for work and asked if i would like to meet up for lunch, i couldn't think of any excuses so i agreed.. i hope it goes well, hope that we don't go into the jw nonsense.
hope he doesn't bring elders with him, am i paranoid or what?

To DA is your decision only.
I look back and wish I did five years ago when I first started sniffing around.
I no longer was reaching out. Wished I wasn't a MS and was not interested in being an elder at all. I've been away from the meetings for over three years, now. Df'd for 15 months. Now I have peace.JWs are no longer relevant to me.

Since Jehovah never makes mistakes and does not inspire the Governing Body( Feb WT 2017 pg26 par12 ), what was the source of all of the doctrinal and organization errors throughout the only true religion's long history?
---
I'd like an answer to this.

Cut off all future contact.
JWs will turn on you without a moments notice.
My life changed dramatically after just one phone call with my elder brother-in-law of 20 years. They have loyalty to the filthy ORG ahead of you.
They have no mercy and will discard you without a second thought.( you know, like Christ would have been )
If you haven't DA'd, you may want to.
Then you can live a productive life without ever looking over your shoulder for disgusting elders. -

Taking up a Cause
by OnTheWayOut inso recently, my jw wife asks me if i ever considered taking up a cause.it was a question out of the blue, coming off of a discussion about politics.
so while it was unsaid, she was really getting at whether i was considering being politically active in some way.. i already have a standard answer that i have used before with other people, so i said it.
"no, i will be content to work and get by then retire and sit in the sun with a good book and a cold water.

I'm getting tired of arguing.
Most people have their minds made up and our little life doesn't really amount to much.
The sitting in the sun does sound like a great cause, actually! -

Need input: elders showed up at our door today
by de-opresso-liber inso as i announced last week, my wife and i started our fade and i sent in a letter to our body that i was stepping down and cited the arc as the reason and insisted that we not be bothered.
my wife told a few relatives in person that we weren't going to attend meetings any longer (immediate shunning occurred, the new videos must be effective) and that what we found with the arc shocked us etc etc.
i have an inside track on how this is all going down by an awake elder on the body, co told them to handle the matter quickly.

The most important moment for me was that the elders have ZERO authority over any of us.
Knowing what I know now, I would have DA'd four years ago instead of reigning as a MS.
The freedom to live life without cult influence is the best.
When an elder showed up at my door, I couldn't help myself:

Election Post-Mortem
by Simon ini'm sure many people, republicans included, are shocked at the results of the 2016 presidential election.
really, wtf!.
the polls were wrong and although it's tempting to blame voter suppression and fbi interference, that would just avoid looking at the real issues for the loss.

I'm still trying to figure out how to claim my fake $1000 bet "winnings"!
