hi everyone.. this is just a thought, while reading bill bowen's silent lambs website i was interested to find out how long ago the figure of 23,000 molesters was published.. well it was in 2002.. in the spring of 2002, silentlambs was contacted by three different sources who claimed to have connected with people inside the headquarters of the watchtower bible & tract society of new york, located in patterson , new york .

these insiders provided silentlambs contacts with a computer data base number of 23,720 child molesters on file there.

so as the spring of 2002 was just over 15 years ago i wonder how many more have been added to the list ?.

23,720 in 2002 ......How many more 15 years later ? What is the total on the database now ?

I truly hope that this all comes out one day and very soon !!

Books are not dying out and this is not the reason for the WT turning to tablets

there's a popular misconception that books in general are in terminal decline, that this is the reason the wt organisation has turned to tablets instead of print, and this in turn has created a financial crisis for the organisation which traditionally relied upon publishing books for income.

this is wrong on a number of levels.

firstly physical books are not in terminal decline, they are as popular as ever with consumers.

Another advantage is that electronic books can be more readily updated and/or "recalled" online without leaving irrefutable hard copy evidence behind for future generations to point at their silly teachings as is currently the case with all the nonsense they've left in print from decades ago.

Watchtower teaches that Jesus dying on the stake is no longer certain

the watchtower has held for many years that jesus died on a stake and held strongly to this teaching.

w 1951 3/15 the above agrees with the new world translation of the christian greek scriptures in its appendix, page 769, in saying that the instrument upon which jesus was nailed was a stake without a crossbeam, and not the religiously represented “cross”; and that the greek word used for that instrument in ancient time meant a “stake” and not the conventional religious cross.

they are no longer certain on this point.

Episode 4 of This JW Life is out now......

spent all day yesterday writing two episodes and recording and editing one podcast of this jw life.

so, episode 4 of my podcast is now out.

i took a minute away from my story (though it is still laced throughout this one) to lay out what goes on inside of a kingdom hall, who the players are, what they believe, and hopefully set a foundation that will help explain my story as one.

Hi Dubstepped.

Listened to this last night, awesome and the similarities are uncanny.

My father was an elder and the secretary of the congregation.

He was the same as your dad although his abusive behaviour at home included physical abuse, hitting, belt thrashing etc.

But at the Kingdom hall he was the life and soul of the place, laughing and joking, bros and sis would say to us

"you must have such fun at home with your dad, he is so funny and jolly" - we knew otherwise.

He was an intimidating person - he's passed away now but the scars are still there. Especially because he knocked the confidence out of us and he was a bully.

Family study was very hit and miss, sometimes at 10:00pm at night when we had school in the morning he would decide it was time to study.

If we ever did the bible reading and we took turns to read. If you mispronounced a word or was a bit rushed when reading he would shout at us, and correct us, make us read it again to get the "flow of the reading". This made it worse sometimes we would cry, as you can imagine we were all scared of him including my mum.

My mum was the same as yours she was a buffer between us and our dad and would try and keep the peace.

No wonder all of my family are messed up and on anti depressants.

All of my 5 sisters are still in, Im the only one out.
