I belive there was a mention of rough numbers just a couple days ago. The Watchtower referred to something like 2.5 million Baptisms over x amount of years, those years were then cross referenced with actual increase in publishers over the same time period and it was only something like 1.5 million. So near to 40% equivalent of those who come in leave again, if were just talking pure stats.

Publisher Statistics
by lurkernomore ini was watching a couple videos on youtube earlier and always like to peruse the comments at the bottom of the page.. i'm no sure if this has been discussed recently, but one indivdual made the claim that the societies numbers are massively over inflated, as he/she believes that they include inactive, df'd and da'd in their figures.. does anyone have any information to confirm this or i this just another assumption made without evidence?.
(also has anyone heard from witnessmyfury lately?
i had a pm chat with him a few days ago but not had a reply to my latest msgs.

Not only that, but because they obviously 'DON'T BRAG IN NUMBERS', growth or an increase in a lot of stats is definitely a sign that the end is so so close, even if the vast majority of growth comes from born in JW's.

Well they still have the information for most inactive, df'd and da'd on the books i guess, so it would'nt be a problem to add them to the active figures!
Also from what i've already read on here 'A LOT' of people have falsified their hours (especially the pioneers) so i don't have any faith in those figures being correct.

in the eu the minimum is 20 days annually.
some countries give much more.

The Circuit Overseer Visit
by garyneal inlast week, the circuit overseer came to visit my wifes congregation and as usual their patterns change somewhat during this week.
from my perspective, the meetings are held on tuesday and thursday instead of the normal wednesday night during this week and they are more eager to go out in field service.
sunday came and my wife wanted us to attend the meeting.

This is also the topic that first opened my eyes to TTATT!!! I phoned the elder who studied with me when I was younger and he gave me the clap trap about only wanting to access some sort of 'library card' if the UN. There was definitely no political agenda whatsoever no, no. Them he went on about how witnesses even work for the UN in clerical capacities these days.
I just thought: Wow does this mean I can start tendering for work with the MOD and local church parishes now then?

I Don't Think The Witnesses Really Care If You Can Explain Doctrine As Long As You Accept Them!
by minimus ingone are the days of getting into discussions about their beliefs.
doing major research to prove a position or watchtower doctrine is a thing of the past.
all they want from you is to surrender and accept everything they say as undeniable truth.. do you agree?.

It's been a loooong time since I've heard anyone get into a discussion about doctrine. I'd say the last time anything was discussed in depth was during the last time we went through the revelation book.
These days it's all talk about how life is so awful and the big A is only just around the corner. Any form of substance seems to have disappeared. Thinking about it that's probably why I floated along for so long before opening up to TTATT.

Not on jw.org - comments regarding bad Jehovah's Witness employees
by jwfacts ini used to be very impressed with convention experiences regarding how worldly employers would hire jws because they were known as the most honest workers.
i was too indoctrinated to realise these were selective experiences, and there are plenty of experiences of jws being dishonest in the workforce.
i have received a couple recently by email.. i have cut quite a bit out of the following email i received so that the person and company cannot be indentified, but you will get the message.. .

There have been loads of instances where witnesses in my locality have misbehaved. I know this isnt the case of an employed witness but one 'brother' decided to start up his own building business only he didn't really know anything about building. He ended up scamming a few customers out of thousands and got away with it.
