Prolongs you know what I mean, why not have Jesus leading by example as a husband and father etc? What about having him face real problems like earning a living to feed a family and also be a perfect servant of god?

Actually now that I come to think of it, what would be the point of giving Christ as an example for all to follow and then only giving edited high lights of three years of adult life??
Surely it would have been a better example to have Christ live a perfect life until dying of old age and then asending to heaven?

Yes very interesting point, I've often wondered that myself. And what would be the point of giving them a block of wood to support the feet?! I thought this was supposed to be an execution?

I'm not wanting to be insulting or anything. But what has having a deep voice got to do with an ability to read the watchtower? I mean why chose a reader for that?

Hi all
I just watched the new jw TV channel, mostly so I can say i have done so. It really creeped me out! The guy fronting it seems so weird? Like his voice is detached from his body or maybe he's mouthing the words? Also those gestures... Defiantly a work on there brother! Talk about over used hammy hands! It lacks any natural spontaneous reaction. I got the impression he had over rehearsed in the bathroom mirror perhaps!?
Also maybe it's just me but has anyone noticed they have changed the way they pronounce Jehovah these days? They are putting all the emphasis on the "hooo" sound.

how many normal people would only go to the dub website?
by purrpurr inall this campaign going on got me to thinking, a normal person having received a tract about the jw website, would they only go to that one website if they were in any way interested?
would they really not click on any links that would also appear about jw's?
would they really not read about them from other sources too?.

Yes gopher you are right. But I'm wondering if those type of people are even out there. I mean if I want to book a hotel, I may look at the hotels website but I will also look at trip advisor and get a objective view as well. If people do that with just a hotel, restaurant or DVD then how much more so for a religion that has a reputation for being werid?

I know that the rank and file have been programmed to go to that one site and no where else but what about a normal person ?
And if a normal person would find out about the other side of the jw's, I mean the dark side they want to keep hidden, then could the gb perhaps be really shooting themselves in the foot? Because instead of the masses blindly signing up to jw they instead will be educated about how and what they really are... a cult! Any thoughts?

the insanity of Sam herds talks at the convention
by purrpurr ini've picked up two that stood out to me but i'm sure others will have noticed more:.
he gave an illustration about fearing god and he said it is like a wife who has spent all day preparing the evening meal for her husband and she hears him come home and perhaps she is trembling a bit out of fear that he might not like the meal she has cooked for him....!!!!!!!!????.
the other was about verbal abuse and how it should not be used but rather than site the effect it has or the forms it can take he said that we shouldn't call each other " dumb dumb" or "knuckle head" .
