Rivalry among the sisters

when i was first introduced to the "truth", i was so distracted by the love and affection that the members were showing me that i was ready to convert into the religion without thinking twice.

i was conviced that jws were god's people (i still think some of them are).

i made it my goal to get baptized as i wanted to be part of the "only" religion that produce such good people.

I totally agree with you! The sisters can be real bitches to eachother. Possibly because they are so cramped and unhappy in their own lives so they set about making eachother unhappy.

There was once this holier than thou pioneer sister who never stopped boasting about how poor she was because she pioneered. Anyway she used to constantly ask me how much I earnt, was the outfit I was wearing new? How much had it cost? And all so that she could scornfully say to me that she couldn't afford stuff like that because she pioneered!!

What would happen if you started calling jw's "sheep" rather than brother or sister?

I'm I the only one who finds peter Andre really creepy, cheesy and slimly?

in the uk the bbc show strictly come dancing has this season been plagued by the greasy slime ball that is peter andre.. for those who are fortunate enough to not know who he is, he's a one hit wonder, married a model with extremely plastic front bits, now to be found on what ever z list tv programmes will have him, he advertises for the supermarket iceland which is where the chavs go to shop, he is extremely in love with himself oh and he was brought up a jw.. thankfully tonight common sense has prevailed and the stupid twat has been booted off the show!.

or does anyone else feel the same?.

Stan live death did you know he did a charity event and demanded so much money as a appearance fee that the charity event ended up having a deficit rather than having raised any money for the charity and in the end the organiser had to dip into her own pocket to pay him!

Apathy carts - Apathy D-2-D

i think it was punkofnice who came up with the phrase, "apathy carts".

how apropos.. yesterday i encountered a car group of witnesses in my community as i was coming home from the gym.

actually, their van was blocking me from entering my driveway.

I wonder if anyone has ever run over those apathy carts? The carts themselves I mean not the people with them of course.

Might be fun to watch, see the bible's, mags, and brochures go flying...

this was in response to a discussion about the suffragette movement ( and the movie about it that's currently in cinemas).

she seemed to think that it would be so much better if women were just daughters/ wives/ mothers and didn't go out to work and have career's?

She seemed to think that it would be so much better if women were just daughters/ wives/ mothers and didn't go out to work and have career's? She even blamed the low wages of today and high prices of things on the fact that industry has to accommodate extra workers in the form of women.

P's. This is coming from a jw woman who works and yes has a career(!)

Thanks all for those excellent posts. Just to clarify, I'm not 14 anymore, that happened many years ago and the creepy old boy has been dead for a decade. And yes I'm female lol!
