Thanks for the welcomes and sorry for the log on I have, I thought go for a strong name but in retrospect maybe a bit toooo strong anyway worse things could happen as Dr Pepper says.

even i am pretty shocked at this one... .
my daughter who is 20 years old and df'd for about 2 years now is attending meetings again.
but yesterday she tells me that she didn't feel like going to the meeting and that her mom probably wouldn't even know that she wasn't there.
Hi all
I have heard of a situation recently where a "sister" can pick up her DS daughters new baby but she has to go out as they can't be together. How sad is that, I always thought you could talk with the person especially family members but just not talk about the truth, am I missing something here.
Next time take your chair, the ones in my old hall were a pain in the ass anyway

I was brought up from the age of one as a JW, all of my mums family are in it so it has been hard getting out. I agree with many sentiments here, missing out on a whole lot of stuff and I have had this out with my folks who said they were protecting me from the world. Fair enough but it seems to me like there are millions of young folk out there who seem well adjusted coming through life without the "protection" of the JW's. I have two kids of my own now who are in there formative years and they both seem to be doing really well, even their friends parents tell us how good they are. Yes I let go to wordly peoples houses now how bad am I!!

i'm in the middle of decorating my new house, and was a bit stuck as to what to use to mask off the furniture/carpets etc until i spotted an oldv pile of watchtowers that i'd been meaning to throw out.
i now have paint spattered watchtowers all over my living room.. anybody else got any good things to use old liturature for?
Handed it in to a charity shop. I know poor shop but I couldn't be bothered going to the re-cycling centre. You can hear the conversation now though between a couple of pioneers at the hall. " There I was in LALA charity shop and I found all these WT publications, I wonder who put them there?" "Maybe someone got a PC and decided they didn't have room for all the old books."
I used pioneers cause they would be in there looking for cheap clothes as they couldn't afford to buy new ones cause they are too busy doing the lords work.

Hi, I'm new to all this but why wasn't I allowed to wear white socks (this was in the 80's)? Why were yellow shirts too loud? How could some one grass me up for being at a party that they were at as well and get off with it?
I could go on all day with this baby but might find myself jumping out he window.
