I don't think they'll ever stop the shunning policy. If they do people would leave the org in drones.
The same with the blood issue. If they stop it, people would wake up in an instant . oh what a cult!
some may remember the time when the private study edition of the wt wasn't to be made available to outsiders, and the df'd.. now, with the recent boe letter, sept 1, 2014, it specifically states that jw.org is making the km available even for df'd individuals.. do you sense a new trend developing?.

meeting with my congregation elders today.. going to tell them about the things i discovered about c.t russell.
(astrology, racism, ect.
) i don't know how to present this information or what to say.
Hugs to you LennaB. As one commenter said, don't make hasty decisions at this point. Relax and think freely about your past , present and future and decide, based on what you have learnt the choice you want to make. But don't let it put too much stress on you.
The GB is always making people feel guilty for not doing everything they say.
as we all know, the org now wants everyone to count the number of flimsy, one page tracts on every monthly report from now on.... so, what is the general buzz around the traps about how many the average witness is reported to have placed?.
(yes, it is a seriously stupid thing designed to keep the flock busy and also designed to measure their 'spirituality').
i need to fudge my report, and i havent got the foggiest clue what sort of numbers each witness has on average 'placed'......
I don't know. I didn't bother to keep count. I'll just choose a random number for them
so is it a must and an absolute requirement to be a ministerial servant in the org?.
i was told that if i refuse an appointment as an ms then it means i'm opposing "jehovah's call to service".

Stuckinarut2, yes you got it right.
Pete, wow I know what that looks like. I've seen bros go through the same. Nothing is good enough in the org.
Why is it so hard to be yourself and to voice out your opinions in the org?
Ugh its a mental prison.
@wannaexit exactly so. Everything is used to measure spirituality, as if its something to be measured. They forget only God read hearts.
i have posted on this topic before:.

i'm sure real soon they'll have video chat online bible studies, email questions and answers, etc.
right now their website still has 'write a letter' option going on.
how many will get in on the online bible studies and emails and ask some probing questions, ttatt stuff?
LOL haha that chariot stuff is really crazy. I find it pathetic that many JWs buy into this crap and mere fantasy and wishful thinking. People really do like believing in mystic things
please help with this: when i was in college, there was a lot of talk about university and how all who pursue that are wasting their time and all that.
even before going to uni, there was a lot of pressurr on me concerning my decision.
during that time, two elders sat with me for appointment as ms and asked me if i have freedom of speech in the org since i'm going to uni and i said no.
I'm starting work early next month but I have to work for some time before I can be financially and wholly independent.
No, I won't be kicked out if I stop going to meetings but it wil cause a lot of distress in my family. I don't want to be a cause of such great disruption of peace.
